I remember the days of Boro fans hounding McClaren for the s**** football and results. The UEFA Cup run made him look a lot better than he was to outsiders.
I don't want any manager who has been hounded out for shocking flaws in this league with average clubs.
Bruce chased out of Sunderland, Pulis out of Stoke, Sherwood out of Spurs.
We sit here laughing at Palace fans and people are content with managers who have been berated just as Pardew has been on here.
Inevitably the same problems show, Pardew at West Ham and here, Bruce at Sunderland and Hull etc
McClaren has a history of failure in his career and I don't want another manager like that.
He has a league title under his belt
So did Dalglish in a better league.
At Middlesbrough he was hated by the fans
Ran out of the England job failing to even qualify for Euro 2008
Failed at Wolfsburg
Failed at Forest
But aye he'll be fine here.
I get what you are saying….but it's about the best of a bunch. Out of Sherwood, Carver, McCoist, etc….I'd have McCLaren. Sadly the likes of De Boer, Laudrup, even Tuchel are pie in the sky. IMO we'd be lucky to get McClaren.

If Ashley were to get in someone new surely they'd want to bring in their own staff - paying off the current staff would cost ££££ - Giving Carver the job however, problem solved.
-
Surprised Nice can afford his wages.
-
Lets face it - Carver has the job - Ashley isn't going to pay for anyone.

NEWCASTLE United outcast Hatem Ben Arfa is set to join French club Nice, according to a report in France.
Nice-Matin claim Ben Arfa has agreed a deal with the Ligue 1 club after his deal at St James’s Park was “terminated”.
Oh well, that's it, he's gone
Right player, wrong manager.

He only cost £1.8m didn't he? If we got £20m for him only 2 years later then that is a massive profit. What do people think he is worth? He's playing brilliant this season like. Priceless to us because we won't be able to replace him any time soon but that's not the way fat Mike works.
We may have got him for £1.8 mil but he was benign touted for ten times that…
He's not even hit his prime yet and I rate him higher than Cabaye so imo he's in the £30 mil bracket.

This is still going on then. Probably Pardew and Ashley having one last laugh together at the fans.
^
He's clearly gone - been at their training, picking the team for Sat - just announce it for heaven sake

The lad was given an impossible task today

Kicking -10 - worst distribution ever.

He's got to be one of the worst left backs we've had when he plays like he did today, that performance was as bad as you'll ever see. Again, like Alnwick, we did nothing about it.
Lacks the pace to be a LB.

This lads stock is going up with each game. Best player on the park by a country mile.

Where is all the TV money going? Is it clearing the ' loan' he gave to the club? The thing is it is often mentioned how Ashley bought us for fun and as soon as the fans starting having a go at him he decided to stop that as he didn't like being called nasty names.
In general football fans are fickle as f***, so if he actually spent a bit of cash and brought in a manager for as mentioned footballing reasons a lot of our fan-base wouldn't give a f*** about the tacky advertisements around the stadium and all of the rest of it.
It's sad really because it wouldn't take that much for him to win the fans round, tweaking his existing policies so that they all work properly. He started doing it in 2011/12 but he continually ruins it by doing stupid things.
If we stop touting our players around as soon as they look half decent, he gets rid of some of the SD.com s**** and invests at least the TV money Id wager most people would leave him alone.

The end of Pardew is so good and I think it being a drawn out affair is typical, he can't do anything right. He's like the end of a long illness that just won't go away.
-
If we do go English I think I'd prefer Schteve to any of the others.
Aye basically.
Same. Could actually work.

Hero. Not really as it's basic balanced journalism but he's spot on
Colin Murray take a bow

Ashley man - out to save ££££
-
Thankfully PSG have their fill of midfielders.

I'd rather colo than pulïs or Bruce.

Ashley in Barbados according to SSN. Doesn't give a f***.
Wasn't he partying in New York when Keegan walked out? His timing is impeccable.
-
I'd take any of De Boer, Laudrup, Howe and any other good realistic orunrealistic candidates. What I don't want is another crap past his best dinosaur manager. No more jobs for the boys rubbish please.
Which is what we'd get...

Pardew out----De Boer in?
If something is too good to be true it probably is...

I can see him getting it, wouldn't cost Ashley a penny...
