Thing with Barnes is that he’s a left-sided player…dunno if he’s ever played on the right, and it may neuter his best qualities. Gordon could play on the right, but we’d want him at his best on the left.

If we can’t afford Nico, Olise is gone, and Bowen isn’t gettable, I’d rather we save a doubloon or two and go with Mbeumo. He’d be an upgrade on Almiron and a good fit for us.

He’ll be one of the faces of the tournament for sure. Remains to be seen if he’ll have enough left in the tank in two years. Regardless, I’d rather he (along with Ronaldo and Kane) moved on.
