I don’t think it’d serve any manager to be airdropped into this club midseason. We’re also not in a position of needing to make an immediate change.

We’ve spent a shitload of money building this squad, man. It’s no one’s fault but Eddie’s if his hand picked players aren’t good enough.

I truly hope he does so again, but at a certain point you have to ask why we’re constantly having to turn things around. Why can’t we come out the gates in the lead?

Despite the fact they’ve won leagues and continental cups? Eddie’s been a terrific manager but the idea that he alone can manage this club is silly bordering on delusional.

It’s also like, shit I dunno but it’s not anyone’s fucking job here to make that call. We have a CEO and sporting director who surely know how to identify and interview a potential new manager.

It’s not a one-off, though. We will never be a perennial CL-contender if we can’t consistently win away from home. re: “no one else out there I’d trust more than him” is not the mentality of a winning club tbh.

Still on “no” on sacking Eddie, but his future at the club should hinge on how we finish the season.

Part of the problem is that we’re only capable of winning at home this season.
