An up and down season, unceremonious exit in the CL, outside the top 5 with a month to go, and then an inglorious 4th placed finish. Wish they'd get Suarez just so we could have a different fucking storyline.

TBF a Gourcuff-Sissoko-Anita midfield would be better than anything else we could put out right now (though Gourcuff-Sissoko-Cabaye would be the best). If you see Gourcuff as an improvement at AM over Marveaux (which he probably is) instead of a replacement for Cabaye (a CM), it's not bad.

IMO anyway. Oscar should start each week too, and Lamps will get run-outs for the time being. Just think Hazard is meant to be Mou's "guy" on their squad, more so than Mata, Schurrle, or De Bruyne.

I think Hazard is the only attacking player who's guaranteed to start every week for Mourinho.

That's not really what's happening here. If anything, I think you're overstating how imperative it is we have a CB who can boss the opposition through the air. Colo and MYM might not be the most adept through the air, to the extent Taylor is, but it doesn't mean they'll fold like a deck of cards every time a more physical striker saunters onto the field. Both are capable of winning headers. I'd much rather have two technically-proficient CBs like MYM and Colo, guys who can carry the ball out of the backfield and make solid forward passes, than two physical brutes like Shawcross and Huth for Stoke, who look like schoolboys trying to carry the ball 10 yards away from the box.

Williamson moves with all the grace of a fat ballerina, but he's not nearly as thick as Taylor. And he's decent through the air, at least defensively. Plus he's obviously a huge threat on set pieces.
