It's good that Hutchinson seems to be back in form and healthy, he's easily one of Canada's best players. I understand that DeRo's not having a great season for D.C. (nobody is), but you have to think he would have been an upgrade over all the AMs/forwards on the roster. Canada's striking options are downright pitiful.

How much better would Canada be if they weren't snubbed by their best players? Could've had Asmir Begovic (Canadian U-20), Jonathan de Guzman, and Junior Hoilett in recent years (though Hoilett could still play for them).
-
Forlan's still a very good player, certainly has what it takes to play at a high level in MLS. Though Toronto hasn't had the best of luck with aging DPs in recent seasons.

Canada man, what the absolute fuck. Mexico has a C-squad for this tournament while Panama is almost full-strength, only excuse I can make.
-
Woah, okay. If he can score goals for Internacional, he can score them for Toronto. I'm still not sure what the hell Ryan Nelsen is doing up there though. I don't think he knows either.
-
Guess so? Think he just needed a breather tbh.

It's at night, being played in Portland iirc.

Their pitch is too nice for our liking.

You have to imagine Donovan has put to rest any doubts that he'll be starting for the A-side soon enough. Howard Cameron Besler Evans F. Johnson Jones Bradley Dempsey Zusi Donovan Altidore Is probably my first choice line-up at the moment. Love the potential of that left side, as Donovan loves to cut inside and Johnson loves to get forward, so we'll have a goal-scoring threat in Donovan and Altidore will still be able to receive service from an overlapping Johnson. Only question marks at this point are RB and CB. Evans will do for now, and I think Cameron is a bit stronger than Gonzalez at this point.

"They were giving me an ultimatum saying if didn't sign this contract on a fifth of the money I was on they would sack me. I was sitting in a jail cell at the time so I had no real power." Boo hoo, you alcoholic thug.
-
Then he gets convicted after the window slams shut and we're stuck with Shola. Sounds class. Fuck this mug off and get someone else in. Ban this sick filth. Cringeworthy.
-
If it goes that way, we cut him loose. Simple as.
-
Prepare to be verbally abused, guy.

Drogba reportedly interested in a move to MLS.

He has improved by leaps and bounds since joining AZ two years ago, it's evident in his play for the national team. 4 goals in his last 4 international matches. He's definitely talented, but like many strikers, he needs consistent service to be most effective. We'll see how he does at Sunderland.

I thought he had been rumored to us once upon a time. At least, his name had been bandied about these parts. Ligue 1 seems a step-down from the Bundesliga. Was he not getting much time at Wolfsburg?
-
€23m is a fair amount for him.

More likely Cisse is played out wide. But even more likely is that they play straight 4-4-2.
-
That's unfair. He hasn't bitched or moaned whilst here, not at all. Fair shout to him then. He'll be entering a completely different environment here, with the expectation that he'll be starting. And he'll be making less. We didn't expect Ba to throw a hissy while here either, but things change for players/relationships between the player and manager change.

I mean, you don't always have to be a bitter turd either, supafan. It's so much easier to smile.

Based on? I don't remember one instance of this last season and the only time he's really spoken out was before his move to Sunderland and tbh any player wanting to leave would get annoyed by Levy in transfer negotiations He's never worked for Pardew/Kinnear either. That's enough to drive any player up a wall. he has played under Pardew Aye, but not for both.
