  1. No doubt. Guy has a lot of talent, that much is clear. I think he took too much upon himself and it just wore him down.
  2. Not at all. He's rather lazy defensively. I don't think that's true. There are plenty of players who are equally adept going forward as they are dropping back. Vidal, Marchisio, De Rossi (more of a deep-lying playmaker these days), Schweinsteiger, Toure, Boateng etc. It's valuable to have one player who can adequately perform the role of two.
  3. 1. He's Italian. 2. He's sexual chocolate. 3. You're you.
  4. Like that will happen under Pardew. Agree though. Who am I kidding, we'd lose Cabaye and have a midfield three of Sissoko-Jonas-Tiote.
  5. Excellent move for both parties.
  6. If Cabaye goes, and I hope he doesn't, the best bet, imo, would be to play Anita as a deep-lying playmaker, a role he's best suited for, with Sissoko as one of two box-to-box central midfielders protecting him (we'd need to get another). Maybe Fer could be that player.

Mexico's too dangerous at the moment. During the joint U.S.-Mexico hosted tournament in 2003, the only venue used in Mexico was the Azteca.
  8. They all live and train in Moscow don't they? Fly in with armoured guards on match days. UEFA/FIFA cleared them to play at home next season iirc.

Holding it in a different country would be a start. Save Canada, no other country in CONCACAF is capable of hosting it.
  10. Why play in cold, blustery Newcastle when you could play in sunny, bullet-ridden Dagestan.
  11. *This* is what we're considering "cool" these days? Lime-green Aston's and jizz-stained jeans?

Danny Williams moves from Hoffenheim to Reading. Change of scenery could suit him.
  13. Cabaye, Sissoko, Marveaux, Tiote, Anita, Bigirimana, Perch, Jonas, (Vuckic) Should be fine for depth at CM. Quality...meh.

  15. Clearing out the clutter. Hopefully Gosling goes out on loan, at the very least.
  16. It's been open for over a month in England. No. Only for domestic transfers. Ther International window opens July 1st in England. You can arrange transfers (Internationally), but they won't be official until then. So yes then. Yes, it's not.

  18. I've seen a lot of love for Kappa and Umbro round these parts, just wanted to set that straight.
  19. Surprised they were able to field a team. Usually half the team defects before they can finish a tournament.
  20. Nike makes the best kits, imo.
