  1. Just checked the TV guide and the Durham vs Man City match is on the red button 30 mins later. LivefootballonTV has that match on iPlayer and red button but no mention of Newcastle, plus NUFC didn't mention it, so extremely unlikely. As I've already got Facebook, probably the easiest way would be to watch it on my phone there and mirror to the TV, which isn't amazing. It's a big match, but when you consider the underwhelming methods to watch it, plus that the Leigh stadium is effectively the same as Kingston Park, and that NUW have already played a competitive match at a much more prestigious stadium this season in the City Ground, it does maybe take the gloss off a little bit.
  2. Match seems to be on FA Player, Facebook, and Tiktok tomorrow, 12pm kickoff. What will be the easiest way to watch on the TV? Does FA Player have an app?
  3. Aye, lost their best 2 players in the summer, Hamer as well as Gyokeres, but they always seem to look a good side whenever I see them on TV. Leicester going down to 10 men straight after they took the lead obviously helped Cov today. O'Hare and Sakamoto seem decent, and their club record top scorer Wright was out today. They only won 3 of their first 16 matches, but are now unbeaten in 8, winning 5 of them, or 24 points from their last 11, which is very good going. 4 of the top 6 seem reasonably secure, and I don't trust the likes of Hull, Watford or Norwich, so hopefully 2 of Coventry, WBA and Boro (ideally the former 2) can maintain / find some form to keep Sunderland out of the playoffs come the end of the season.
  4. We're quite lucky to be on TV (or unlucky if you're a match goer), I was looking at some of the other fixtures and there's not many that should be prioritised over ours, if there are 6 TV games, but absolutely amazed that Chelsea vs Villa isn't a pick, that one really should be ahead of ours. I just see no logicial reason why ours would be chosen over it? Edit - I guess it will probably be on BBC red button / iPlayer or something with the BBC only having 2 matches.
  5. That's just ITV, so 99.99% to be on BBC, and to be fair, that match should, with the minnow at home.
  6. Very good result. Fulham definitely still in the tie, so they will be fully motivated and committed for the home 2nd leg, but Liverpool ahead to keep alive a European spot for the league.
  7. I forgot it was actually 3 proper matches at SJP, thought it was just the 2, 4 inc the friendly, so like circa Apr 2022, Dec 22, Apr 23, so definitely die another. You'd think they'd be all over it now that they are pro, at a higher level, and generally feel more integrated with the wider club with NUW players featured in the kit launches, Xmas hospital visits, Fenwick announcement etc. I'm sure they will end up having one, but it would be really disappointing if there was no SJP match this season.
  8. Always think Lee and co do a good job in promoting the women's team, and his videos, especially before the matches became available to stream on YouTube, definitely increased my interest. They do get really good access with all the interviews.
  9. 3 lower league teams held PL teams today away from home, so some interesting replays, and TV picks. You'd think Bristol City vs West Ham would definitely be on with the Hammers probably the biggest draw of all teams involved, but there's also Bolton vs Luton, and Blackpool vs Forest. Bolton and Luton will probably be playing in the same league next season, and many would consider Bolton the bigger club, so not monumental, but they are a third tier side against a PL club. Of course, if Wigan and Man Utd end up drawing tomorrow then that will be guaranteed to be on TV, even without the jeopardy of the smaller club being at home. I forgot Blackpool put Forest out at the same stage last year, albeit as a Championship club.
  10. Been a cracking match. Arsenal generally on top, but Liverpool have also had some great chances. Very entertaining 0-0.
  11. Lee Clarks son on for Liverpool now. Surely wouldn't have happened in this current era.
  12. This forum is never the best for screenshots, but here's the updated table, if you can see it: Results grid hasn't updated today's results, Newcastle 7 Halifax 0, Forest 3 WBA 0, Wolves 1 Burnley 2. Out next 2 fixtures are at home, Forest and then Wolves, so both big games, and then after that, only 3 of our remaining 9 fixtures will be at home. If they are thinking of a SJP match then it'll probably be one of Huddersfield, Liverpool Feds (who they battled for the title a couple of years ago) or Derby. Still got to play Wolves home and away. I guess there could be an opportunity for a cup game at SJP, as I'm sure one of the two (competitive) matches we played at SJP was a cup match, and if we did somehow beat or draw Man Utd in the FA Cup, then the Forest and Wolves matches might then be rearranged. We're away to Fylde in the League Cup in 3 weeks, so should win that considering they are bottom of the league and we beat them 11-3 and 4-0 in the league, but not sure what stage that is at, and if there is potential for a home match in the following round. The Man Utd match next week is on Sunday at 12pm and on the 'FA Player'. All FA Cup matches are on there, bar Durham vs Man City which is on BBC iPlayer / Red Button and I assume that's therefore probably deemed the tie of the round.
  13. Burnley won 2-1, so the gap remains 5 points (with them having a game in hand), but the GD advantage was extended to +19. Forest won, but it really does look like it will be between Newcastle and Burnley. Has there been any word on a match at SJP this season? Having already played Burnley at home, it would have been better to have had either Forest or Wolves, but we play both of those at home in the next 4 weeks, so possibly too early to get it arranged for those matches.
  14. Aye, looks like that 11th Feb clash will be massive. You forget that about 13 or 14 of the 22 league fixtures will very likely be comfortable wins, a lot of them a case of how many, and there'll only be like 4 or 5 crunch fixtures - if Burnley win at Wolves, that will certainly be one of them for them. Hopefully the missed pen in our home Burnley match won't prove too costly come the end of the season.
  15. Poor Shrewsbury. They had 3 or 4 great chances, especially 2 in the first half, but Wrexham get the opening goal. Wrexham have been a lot better this half than they were in the first half.
  16. Would be nice if it stayed that way, or even Wolves getting a winner.
  17. Haha. Na, no worries (for me anyway). It's not like it's a close, gripping, end to end encounter, and the more goals the merrier.
  18. Huge few weeks coming up for them: 14th Jan - Man Utd (A) in the FA Cup 21st Jan - Forest (H) in the league, one of the 4 better sides in the league 28th Jan - Fylde (A) in the League Cup 4th Feb - Wolves (H) in the league, one of the better 4 sides in the league 11th Feb - Burnley (A) in the league, possibly a title / promotion decider
  19. He's posting the scores before the goals even go in on YouTube . Saw the 6-0, turned back on stream and the ball was just going in, ha.
  20. Aye, so have the official Twitter account (probably because of the announcer).
