Probably go down as the hattrick, but having seen the replay, unlike the co-comm, I don't think Barker's shot was going in.

Aye, Elysia Boddy, one of the younger ones. She missed a couple of matches before Christmas, had strapping on one of her legs this half, and has just gone off at half time, so mustn't be fully fit, and they're being careful with her.

Graphic on screen still saying 2-0, but NUWFC Twitter saying 3-0, edit, it's been updated now. I guess if Newcastle were originally awarded the game then it likely would have been 3-0, so a very good chance to get more than that, plus they get to play a home game, and more opportunity for new fans to see the team, so so far, better to play the match outright, especially as with only 22 matches, GD is often significant in these leagues.

Fair enough, I wasn't sure if you thought it was her, but weren't sure if it was a lookalike or something.

Shrewsbury have missed 3 glaring chances, no excuse for 2 of them really, but still 0-0. They started off almost 4/1 to win, despite being at home and against a lower league side (although obviously not a typical L2 side), but they are currently 12/5 in play. Both sides unchanged from their last match, which is good to see.

She's often at home games and was as the SOL yesterday, so would be more surprising if she wasn't there.

iPlayer and red button.

Don't really fancy Man City vs Huddersfield, so going for Shrewsbury vs Wrexham on S4C (Sky channel 134, you can get English comms) and have Newcastle women on the laptop more in the background.

Back in action tomorrow after a 3 week break. The rescheduled home match with Halifax which was originally postponed due to the World Cup final. Live on YouTube at 2pm.

It's great when we get a big win and you can just relax and enjoy the rest of the TV football over the weekend. Some decent matches. Middlesbrough vs Villa at 5.30pm today Shrewsbury vs Wrexham at 2pm tomorrow - less than 30 miles between the places. L1 side at home to L2, but the L2 side are fairly clear faves, they obviously have their US investment. Newcastle women also back in action at 2pm tomorrow after a 3 week winter break, at home to Halifax, the fixture that was postponed due to the women's World Cup final, the only fixture in the league to be. Live on Youtube Arsenal vs Liverpool 4.30pm tomorrow

Eh, it's a perfectly fine turnaround, and Sunderland also played today, as did every other Championship club, and no doubt most of those will have FA Cup games on Saturday as well. Just a few weeks ago Spurs were the MNF and then had a Friday night match on Sky the same week.

I know these markets aren't that reliable, and can easily be influenced by small punts, and can change instantly, but you'd never think Howe would be as short as 5/2 to be the next to leave just a month ago. Hopefully common sense prevails.
-
Christ, how much did you put on for that, and did you do 'to qualify' or just the Sunderland win? If the latter, you'd be even more gutted if we drew there, brought them back here, and then did a Birmingham like in 2006 or 2007.

FFS, Almiron.

It doesn't work like that. Would he have made that tackle if he had already been booked?
-
Gravenberch looks a bit like Isak.

I was waiting for the replay first, since couldn't really see in normal time, ha.

Not sure how we're still 0-0, but we'll take it.

Gonna be a very hard watch. I can see me tuning into the darts before half time, once the 4th goes in

Drury is awful, just spouts constant nonsense

Hull down to 10 in the Sky Championship match away at Sheff Wed. Still 0-0 after 36 mins, but Sheff Wed felt on top up until then, so it will be hard for Hull to get anything from here.

Not going great for Birmingham and Rooney. Their record under Eustace was P11 W5 D3 L3 GD+4 PTS 18 (PPG 1.64), sacked on the back of back to back 4-1 and 3-1 wins and 6th in the table. Rooney comes in and has a P15 W2 D4 L9 GD-15 PTS 10 record (PPG 0.67) and currently 20th. He did have a string of tough looking games to start with, so not quite like for like, but it could have barely gone much worse since he arrived.
