  1. Pools level against Stevenage. Good for them, and Carlisle (and any NUFC fan with a grudge ). Hope they get a winner!
  2. A few Newcastle links here. Ben Tozer starting for Wrexham, and Kyle Cameron playing for Notts (who could have given away a pen just before) came through our academy. Langstaff being at Gateshead last year as well, and being from Stockton.
  3. WBA ahead against QPR in a big match at both ends. I'm hoping Carlisle can at least match Stevenage and Northampton's results today - it's Carlisle vs Northampton on Saturday, currently 3rd vs 2nd and I think I'll go with me not too far away.
  4. I'm not sure how many people have BT Sport, but I'd say those that had access to both, more people will be watching the non league match than Coventry vs Watford on the main Sky channel. The whole Ryan Reynold / Disney documentary will add a fair few, plus the fact it's ridiculously tight and a crazy end to the season. I've gone for that one.
  5. Yep, fully deserved equaliser for Blackburn. Keeps it interesting at both ends if it stays like this.
  6. Yep, both have matches tomorrow. Shields at relatively local Whitby, and Warrington at Marine who could still just about make the playoffs, so a good chance that it's sorted then and Saturday becomes a celebration, but if Shields lose and Warrington win tomorrow, then it could be tasty.
  7. Wrexham vs Notts County is such a big match on BT Sport tomorrow at 3pm. Very likely to decide who wins the league. I'll be watching that over whatever Championship or League One match Sky are showing at the same time.
  8. I did know he started when posting that, but I'm honestly not sure if I saw him touch the ball in the first half. Never heard his name mentioned anyway. Been more involved in this half, mind.

Well the new guy will be struggling to give him less minutes, so it could turn out to be a positive.

  11. They've obviously had more than their fair share of recent success, but it must be pretty grim being a City fan earmarking this match as one Arsenal could potentially slip up in.
  12. All eyes on St James' Park now lads
  13. You'd think so, but the only thing people were slightly concerned about is if they put a 2020/21 style run together. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020–21_Liverpool_F.C._season#Competitions They had lost 6 of 7 matches and after 28 games they were seemingly well out of it with 43 points, exactly the same points return as they have now, but they then won 8 and drew 2 of their final 10 matches to get to 69 points and ended up 3rd. If they did the same this season, then I think that would be touch and go for us. They don't look anything like getting 26 points out of 30 this season, but if they won today, their remaining fixtures look reasonable, and I doubt many would have been expecting a run that season with the run they were on just before that late amazing surge.
  14. Hinchcliffe just saying the opposite there
  15. That had kind of been coming. Leeds were fantastic for around 30 mins, but Palace had been coming back into it.
  16. Really looking forward to the Liverpool - Arsenal match at 4.30pm. I'd obviously prefer Liverpool not to win, but after the last few weeks there is less pressure and not as disastrous if they were to. It's hard to believe that only 4 weeks ago prior to their loss at Bmouth and our win against Wolves, they were actually above us in the table, a better GD having just thrashed Man Utd, whereas now, they are playing their solitary game in hand to try and close the gap to 10 points. https://www.11v11.com/league-tables/premier-league/10-march-2023/

But what good does that do Hearts? Why would they take someone on loan if the goal was not to get minutes, but to settle some randomer into the country? Yes, there could be longer term relationships formed with a potential powerhouse not too far down the road, but it largely doesn't make sense. He's barely featured in their last 5 matches, all defeats, not at all in their last 3. It's basically like them opening a creche for us . Their last 5 results have been 1-3 and 0-3 to Celtic, 0-3 to Aberdeen, 1-2 to 10 man Kilmarnock, and then 0-2 at home to St Mirren today, so you can't imagine the place and dressing room to be currently buzzing and therefore the minimum requisite of 'settling into the UK with a few fellow Aussies' likely won't be going to plan much either. He's probably not been as good as they were expecting, perhaps not ready, and that's fair enough, Neilson will see him in training every day, but I think it's safe to say the loan move will have gone far worse than Neilson/Hearts, Howe/Newcastle and Garang himself were initially expecting.

  19. Haha, I hadn't seen the thread bump, was casually just reading the Forest forum, and I'm in stitches at some of the replies. Literally laughing out loud This site is awful for posting links mind.
  20. The title race couldn't be much closer from a betting perspective. Most places have them both 10/11: https://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/winner
