Good news this, a couple of million in the bank and a spot for a new striker, all in all a cracking signing considering, did a job for us and then some.
Seems like a good lad with his head screwed on, judging from videos of last season hes an exciting player too, would imagine he would be a starter with Ritchie on the other side? Just hoping he can make the step up and hit the ground running for us.
Whatever happens he > Gouffran at least
If we can get a few more additions and keep hold of Rafa then Lascelles top 10 aim isn't out of the ordinary, there's a lot of poor teams in this league.
Did Dummett actually improve at all or did the drop down in divisions help him? Has to be the latter when so many poor/average prem players looked world beaters.
Anita was much better than Yedlin last season defensively, I know people don't like to hear that because Yedlin is rapid and has a nice haircut but Anita was much more solid overall.
If these are the signings hes pushed for, whether they be underwhelming or not then at least he should be happy for now, would like to see us go after some serious quality for the remaining glaring positions, CM, 10 and ST.
At very least if Rafa is happy with these underwhelming signings then at least he will stay on and hopefully get a lot out of them for a comfortable first season back.
The thing is I got the impression Rafa preferred Colback over Hayden, if we dont bring anyone else in I could see him starting with Shelvey against Spurs, which would be absolute :anguish:
Can't help but think any warnings to influence fat Mike will fall on deaf ears unfortunately, hes shown time and time again hes willing to roll the dice, especially with managers.
If Rafa stays anywhere from 8th-13th, if he goes I think its nailed on relegation, so went for 15th because I'm not sure
We could be going into the season with Colback as a starting CM still, if that happens then best will be 15th even with Rafa.
