So in the Armstrong tweet Carver says to the fan "I don't know, what do you want me to do?",and in the media he explains that he told a fan to come see him after the game to "explain why I'm doing what I'm doing" What an absolute lunatic. How on Earth has he ended up in charge of Newcastle United.
-
His stats were insane for a 15/16 year old (perhaps younger?). Apparently Alex's son kept banging on about it and that led to Rangers making the enquiry. They were politely but quickly told "no chance"

Village Idiot might know the real answer to this but it is true Glasgow Rangers actually tried to sign Messi on loan after Alex Mcleish's son found Messi on Football Manager (or Championship Manager as it was known then) Would have been interesting to see how Messi coped against players who also eat babies

Keegan from England comes to mind

I wonder what Ashley would do if one of his store managers was losing money 7 weeks in a row.

"John Carver may look at his bench as the game goes on,Gouffran,Obertan,Ameobi"

Fucking love Perez. What a gem of a signing.

Trouble is if they do walk we'll just end up with a poorer manager who will happily accept the conditions. (Like the Keegan situation) Would love every manager to say f*** off to Ashley perhaps making him reconsider his conditions. But unfortunately there's always someone like Carver who will take whatever is thrown at them just so it keeps them in a job.

Posted it already but just a refresh, remember Paddypower offer of bet 20 pre-match on any live tv game (Sky or BT only) at odds of min 1.5 and get 2 £5 freebets to use in play. This offer is running from now until the end of the season!

Same here. He's not the best we can hope for but I think he can do a good job. He has experience of European and International football, something we haven't had in a manager since Bobby. Of course, that doesn't guarantee success but the criteria that the new manager has to work under,it's definitely an advantage. There's no way we'll see the real potential of any manager unless we start spending serious money on top players. Something that simply will not happen while Ashley remains.
-
Any terms for that? e.g min odds etc

I can just picture 20 of them standing pitchside wide-eyed and open mouthed, muttering "oh my god","this can't be real","I can't believe what I'm seeing",all in disbelief at how bad Carver's training methods are, while the squad carry on playing headers and volleys. Carver standing there all smug saying "listen,I know we're good, this is one training idea that Bobby taught me"

Also behind his ear the hairline is the same. Definitely used a bit of hair dye though

Paddy power offering bet £20 pre-match and get a £10 in-play bet for the Real Madrid v Athletico game tomorrow night. Offer also applies to all televised (Sky/BT) Premier league games at the weekend

Shame he didn't say the same about Shola.

I see what Ashley is doing. He can't get rid of Carvew without a huge pay off,so he gives him a new contract as head coach with a clause that John "are you not entertained" Carver has to win at least 1 game out of 3,if not he's sacked without pay off. Obviously Ashley knows this won't happen so he can sack him and finally get rid of the lingering bare knuckle fighter. Ashley rubs his hands together and hires McClaren on a 25 year, zero hour contract.

If they do go down they'll be the better club due to their recent victories. (How many was it again?) #mackemlogic Shame Kidderminster aren't in the Championship as Johnson would well fancy that game.

Mark Hughes? Do Not want. "Does a decent job" seems to be the maximum of his ability,to his credit he can make a team hard to beat, but like you say it's not pretty and he's the last person I would want when you hit a relegation battle or confidence crisis.
-
Anyone would think that header won them the Champions League the way they always go on about it

He's still banging on about the Arsenal game Loves to live in the past doesn't he?
