  1. Thats pretty much it. Like I say Perch could have stopped Bale for their second. He didn't need to conceed the foul for their first.
  2. Well having seen Spurs goals again I think he is clearly at fault for the first. By fault I mean he gives away the free kick. He allows Depmsey(?) to get the run on him and he consolidates that with a professional foul. Normally not a great problem but there was actually no need for him to do it as Santon was covering. The second goal, well he's slow to react to the bouncing ball. Taylor does absolutely nothing against Adebayor which for me where this goal comes from. Colo is slow to react but once Bale beats him to the ball he can only commit a horrible foul on bale to stop him running through. For me its a combination of Taylor being very slack on Ade, and perch not tracking Bale's run from deep that undid us for their second. Perch was also the player who should have fouled Bale (pulled him back) when he was motoring through.
  3. The pervading logic by some on this forum frequently seems to be that our best players are the ones not playing in the team.
  4. So would it be fair to see he's not an ideal striker in a 451 where we're up against stronger opposition and expecting to be under the cosh quite a bit, seeing as he doesn't seem to be the type of forward who is capable of creating something on his own at all? Playing as the 1 in a 4-5-1 against good opposition is more about working very hard for the team than creating something from nothing.
  5. He should've scored against Chelsea last week. Not a lot on offer for him today.
  6. Play Mapou and Saylor together if we are looking long-term. Its not prudent to see Taylor as a long term option with his injury record unfortunately.
  7. Cabaye was good tbf, Sissoko looked a bit laboured 2nd half but he did well for our goal. Yeah wasn't saying they were terrible but thought they both looked a bit leggy at times. More of a worth remembering sort of thing than seeking to have a go at their individual performances.
  8. Taylor did nothing wrong. At the time I disagreed. Can't really recall it now too well and will want another look at it later. Can see it becoming the hot topic of the thread so I'll give my explanation after MOTD. Or eat a big humble pie.
  9. Sissoko and Cabaye had both played (near enough) full matches this week. Think that showed. Also very annoying the amount of times little pulls were completely ignored.
  10. Big improvement on last year. But no points and Gouffran crocked makes today a bit of a disaster.
  11. Come for the ball in the first place? Probably assumed Taylor was going to put a challenge in. Horrible bouncing ball for Colo to defend in my opinion.
  12. Really poor, not too sure what Colo was supposed to do other than hack him down.
  13. A great moment for him in the first half was where he was covering for Santon being closed down by Lennon I think. Shapes to go forward, plays it from one foot to the other then goes back on himself for a simple backpass to Krul. He's a smart player.
  14. Spurs started to look a bit out of ideas towards the end of the half. Great work hope the lads keep it up.
