Chelsea have been playing some good football this season. Solid as you'd expect at Old Trafford as well.
-
Carlton Cole in talks to re-sign for West Ham on a short-term deal, 3 months after he was released.
-
Whoever Arsenal play upfront, Wenger will teach them how to position themselves effectively and give them the correct instructions for them to be a threat. If it were us, Pardew would tell them to look to the heavens.

right someone explain those rules to Spurs and Sunderland as they would have massively increased their wage bill Tottenham had a lower wage to revenue ratio than us as of 2012, 63% of Spurs revenue spent on wages vs 69% for us. Since then ours will certainly have increased, I don't know enough about all of Tottenham's incomings and outcomings to say if there's has for sure but it probably has as well. Still the fact is we do spend quite a high amount of our turnover on wages, our wage bill was 8th highest in the league by 2012 (only 13th though if you go on percentage of turnover spent on wages). Really our problem is revenue, they just aren't expanding it. Of course by 2014 our turnover will increase very significantly from the increased TV money, but Ashley ect should also be increasing our revenue in other ways, which they haven't done at all. I think Gold is talking about the Premier League's own financial fair play rules by the way, not the UEFA ones. Yeah he was. Might be worth looking to find it, it was for a West Ham fansite. Interesting interview.

Something I was thinking earlier. But then we have lost, Harper, Guthrie, and Perch. We have only brought in Remy so you would have to think that we must have been close or on par with our budget at the end of last season. The club have been saying that they want to bring in new faces though, so therefor those statements would contradict the possibility of us being on our percentage of turnover. Alan Smith as well. Smith left the wage bill last year.
-
It's just something I have thought of, not something I'm convinced in and ready to defend to the hilt. Harper, Guthrie and Perch I'd say earnt, at maximum, a combined £35k p/w between them. Are we paying all of Remy's wages?

right someone explain those rules to Spurs and Sunderland as they would have massively increased their wage bill Have Spurs though? Sold Bale, Caulker, Huddlestone, Parker and Dempsey. Sunderland have sold Mignolet, Elmohamady, McClean and Kilgallon. Impossible to say how much they have increased their wage bills as anything mentioned in the media is speculation. Spurs broke their transfer record 3 times, its a reasonable assumption those new players are getting paid more than the previous lot Perhaps they were spending below what they were allowed to before, or have increased their revenue sufficiently? I can imagine our own revenue has a lot of potential to grow. We could definitely be doing a lot better in that regard. Just an idea really, I'm bored.

For me, on the outside looking in, he has failed.

Sunderland have backed their manager, but look at who he has signed. A lot of cheap deals on relatively unknowns, it remains to be seen if they can cut it at this level. If they can't, they are in serious trouble.

David Gold has spoken recently of the need to increase revenue to allow for more money to be spent on wages. This is due to Financial Fair Play. You can only spend a certain percentage of your clubs turnover on wages. Perhaps this has something to do with our one in, one out policy at the moment. Although, you'd imagine our revenue would be good enough to allow for further movement. If Cabaye stays, I hope he gets his head down and plays well. This whole thing isn't finished though, not unless the club go against the grain and show some ambition.
-
Wasn't he pissed off that his fee wasn't £100m? sounds like something he'd get in a huff about. If that's something you can get in a huff over, you're living a pretty good life tbf.
-
Unlucky with injuries, if he'd been bought for a fraction of the price it would have been a successful signing. Wouldn't put it ahead of Mendieta, Shevchenko or Denilson as the worst of all time.
-
Bale is absolute quality. The pricetag is crazy but he'll fit right in there. Insanely talented.
-
This is the biggest news about a Welshman since Aled Jones' balls dropped.
-
You're basically just giving them the ball as the main result is it deflecting off you and going out for a throw. Would much rather have the throw in or the 50/50 chance the clearance falls to a teammate if it stays in. Depends entirely on the situation but what if the defender sees you back off, controls the ball and they retain possession. I'd put the block in most times.
-
I want him to stay but looking at who we've brought in, as an ambitious French international I would be wanting to move also. Huge shame we can't match the ambition of our better players.
-
I think he's best out wide, play him through the middle and suddenly his space is restricted and his impact is lessened. He could improve, any player in the world has room to improve, but put him in a better team and he'd look a lot better.
-
Barry is very decent but he's getting on a bit now. Wonder what Everton are offering him as they have to be tight with their finances.
-
Giroud is looking very sharp, think he'll have a great season this year. Spurs need time to gel together, potentially they could be fantastic. Would be damaging to lose this match but it wouldn't be the biggest surprise.

I can't wait for another useless post by yourself. Thanks. I'll never feel useless whilst you're still posting. Thanks. I'll throw that into the bin. How about you turn that sumbitch sideways and stick it straight up your candyass? Sorry that's your fantasy, not mine. http://i1213.photobucket.com/albums/cc468/emeraldwaves/GIFs/OhSnapBlackKid7478154.gif

Well thats all fair and good if they are doing it waving their middle finger around as they chant. Providing its not in the family enclosure. Somebody near to me shouted Peado when he waved. Embarrassing.

I think him playing shows a deal isn't as close as people would think. If he does stay beyond the window, I hope we put a lid on it until January and we get some good performances from him. He can be a huge asset when he's playing well. Pardew once again putting him in the shop window. We want to sell, but at the right price. It's been apparent for a while that he has been put in the shop window at any opportunity. If we sell him now, I would be really surprised to see us sign a central midfielder.
