Beye had said he was going to stay and get us back in the Premier League and then he was one of the first out of the door after we were hammered by Leyton Orient and the players had their infamous meeting. His agent signed up to here to defend him as he was getting a fair bit of backlash as he signed for Villa at a time when they were throwing money around under O’Neill. It was pretty tense after Orient. I can’t remember specific interactions but I know the agents words went down like a lead balloon.

Anyone remember Beyes agent posting on here when we were relegated?

Said it before in this thread, but he knows what to do in any situation, where to position himself to block, where to be to provide the best option for a team mate, he's got it all at this stage of his career. It's like muscle memory for him now. Lovely player to watch, he makes the position look so easy.

Listened to the first couple of episodes of his podcast as they came out, then didn't listen again until just a few weeks ago. Comes across so well. The latest episode, they ask him if he thinks Newcastle will stay in the top 4. He talks about needing to keep this up until the World Cup, he doesn't want the break but recognises along with Antonio that a lot of teams will have to get back up into gear very quickly. Wants European football, but sees Europa League as missing out on Champions League, however he would take whatever European football he can get. Very ambitious comments on the subject of European qualification. Obviously wants to go to the World Cup but will keep working hard if this doesn't materialise. Antonio points out that statistically speaking, he is right up there behind Kane as the best English striker but unlucky with injuries. Quite a pragmatic guy. Was hoping he'd stick the boot in on Bruce when they were asked about Gerrard leaving and Villa bouncing back with a big win over Brentford. Antonio says he heard players had a problem with Gerrard's attitude, not footballing philosophy. Wilson stayed quite quiet to be honest. Spoke about his goal against Tottenham. Said if it happened inside the box, he'd half expect the foul to be given against him. Said VAR tried all ways to stop the goal but he didn't see what he had done wrong as Lloris had charged out, just knew he had to take the shot as quickly as he could before opposition got men back on the line. Says his left foot deserves way more recognition.

Probably the quietest afternoon he’ll have as a professional player.
-
He'll know the importance of letting the players enjoy the win, but I bet he's itching to go and study that first half.

Lascelles looking fired up on the bench after the third. Must be fucking class being a part of that squad right now.

Felt for him when he came in at the Euros and looked like a deer in the headlights, but Mings is coming across like a complete dickhead.

This ref loves being the centre of attention like. Strutting round like he’s something.

I know he's still had a good few games under Howe, but I think ASM will take it up to a whole different level after the World Cup.

I can imagine the set up at the club being like some kind of hive mind. Everybody sharing thoughts, no voice more important than the other, everybody all in on the project, everybody learning. I think it’s 3 more league games before the World Cup. If we stay in and around where we are there’ll be so many doors open in that January transfer window. If you’re a young, hungry footballer you want in on this.
-
I hope if he goes to the World Cup, he places Kanes hand into a glass of water while he sleeps.
-
The way he delivers his message to the team merely days after Everton and have everybody so well drilled is something else. It’ll obviously be hard to keep up the more signings we make and certain players moving on but I have full faith, I think he’s very special and perfect for where we are and where we aim to be.

Dressing room photo asap, I’m edging and I can’t edge no more.
-
No more goals.
-
I reckon up to now, 5 minutes added on.

Its Bruceballs Italian cousin.

I don’t understand the way Spurs started the game. At home, 3rd in the league, and they set up to counter? Conte is so inflexible, that Spurs team should be set up similar to us.

What a time to be alive. Let’s fucking go guys.

The more I see the goal, the more I am convinced Lloris has forgotten he’s a goalkeeper, and now identifies as a Teletubbie.
