  1. I thought that he did at first, but seemed to calm down. He got about 82% completion i think. What I like is that he only played 6 passes backwards. I noticed it more in the first half as well, yeah. Def looked an asset if we use him right, horrible situation for him to come in to, but fair play he hasn't shirked it all, was always looking to get on the ball Where's Dr Death and his hatchet-job massages when they're needed most, because the The Ginger Apocalypse a cometh. http://www.themag.co.uk/assets/jack-colback-halt-newcastle-united-nufc-650x400.jpg
  2. Although in laymans terms you are correct the technical definition of a sponsorship involves slightly more than just money. In terms of my dissertation, the complete definition is required. If you're interested the full use of sponsorship is: “a business relationship between a provider of funds, resources or services and an individual, event or organisation which offers in return some rights and associations that may be used for commercial advantage”. Although this does include funds, the relationship between sports direct and NUFC is still a form of sponsorship. So going by that definition, this is a sponsorship deal as well, right? http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/08/07/article-2385937-1B2F93B6000005DC-809_634x366.jpg ...... and Mike Ashley (the parasite) has transmitted Ross River Fever to it's host.
  3. Pardew, and the philosophy behind his pre-match briefings. From The King's mouth....... "The meeting is basically a condensed two reports into one ie. the opposition, what they do, and then tactically what our process is to defeat that [tiny dramatic pause, accidental] team. So this is how they play, this is their strengths, we kind of build 'them' [<<< which i took to be the opposition, afterall a Pardew team must always fear the opposition] up a little bit in that report [<<<< in this case would have applied to bloody bottom of the table Villa who have been a trainwreck at home all season] and think of the positives that could work for them, and then try and dismantle that with our gameplan. So it's kind of ah a report which kind of says this is the problem this is the solution". Fear driven bullshit, and window-dressed as well - all his mates in the media, and his followers, will lap that shit up... Yum Yum. If only the main priority was driving his own team's strengths/weapons at the opposition.
  4. One shrink who interviewed Ted Bundy, during the appeals process/the last ditch effort to save him from Old Sparky, hypothesized "I bet, as a very young boy, Ted was frequently beaten with a stick - by a woman". Experiencing a sustained period of physical & mental trauma may well have flicked a switch, and was the catalyst for his spree with began in the Pacific Northwest. It was eventually revealed that his grandparents (whom Ted lived with when he was very young) were monsters. Grandpa was feared by thw entire family, and Grandma was manic depressive and prone to lashing out in fits of violence. All this family history was never raised at trial, and Bundy's delusional ego would have prevented this being used as ammunition as part of an insanity plea. This aside there was a trigger point in his life which severly affected his hardwiring - led to him being in Bundy's own words "flawed". On to Pardew and his pathological hatred of flair players, and why he is a Man for the Clogger. Pardew woudn't have been beaten with sticks, by his superior talented peers, however I bet as a little youngun he was subjected to lengthy period of trauma on the training pitch. Yup, arse rinsed & humiliated repeatedly by that 'one' cocky, skilled & quick little shit who owned him & consequently fucked up Lil' Pards for life. This chapter exists in his life
  5. That will likely occur when a manager employs a defense 3-5-2 system - utilizing an 'instinctive' ball carrying winger (a gambler) unfamiliar with the position demands in attack & defense - which doesn't allow for an immediate wide outlet pass because the midfield is narrow ie he didn't really have a wide running mate/or link-up man. That system would have exposed a fit Ben Arfa, to a lesser degree if he was experimented woth in a similar fashion (on the right, if he was still here). A ring rusty, less experienced youngster, coming off lengthy a lay off - lol, keep it up. That was demonstration of hanging a youngster out to dry, for the reasons given, which Pardew would have been proud of. Face it. Stevie's so-called clever tactical switch-up - all about containing bloody Watford - blew up in his face, badly. And it was most evident at this position.
  6. Mentioned in another thread. Underdone & coming backing from a quite a long lay-off and what does Stevie do....tactically hangs the lad out to dry (at LB/WB) with that narrow central midfield ahead of him.
  7. In fairness the make-up/Max Factor Lady has succeeded in providing that airbrushed tv look which is befitting of The King. That bottom screen grab though - such a schmuck he is lol
  8. The saddest thing was he abandoned the positives on show from the West Ham game, particularly the first half performance, and did a Pardew by formulating a plan/formation to contain the opposition. In doing so Gini & Shelv were cast into relative anonymity - the most. I thought Aarons, after a lay-off, was hung out to dry.
  9. Peanut wages for 1.5 or two seasons >>>> sold to Spurs for lets say £15m, or a little more, and Pocch & Levy snare their man >>>> easy, quick profit for Sports Direct United and more importantly no pain inflicted to the payroll. Easy money. [inserts Mike Ashley Wins Again gif] I'll he shocked if Perez is given a new deal.
  10. Used to enjoy visiting this thread to follow The King's inevitable downward trajectory at Palace, complete with all his soundbites in the press which sound all too familar. Quotes from the Palace forums of fans/supporters beginning to show signs of turning on Super Al is an added bonus (even "Pardewed" & "The Pardew Effect" is being thrown around a bit, or alluded to). The rest of it though - pages of 'hope he' gags. What a load of shite. Used to be a good thread. Thank fuck for JackFlash's recent contributions - they're the rare shining beacons in what is now a sea of crap.
  11. What is this madness? Intrigued to read the 20 names Yup, one of two players (along with Bellamy, another supposed villain from the Souness Era who spilled some home truths at the time) who were vital in transforming our attack and punching Robson's team up a gear. Statistically would have to be our most productive winger since Waddle. You can't rattle on about Pardew this & Pardew that and how he expects wide attacking players to have the traits of an auxillary fullback, and crucify (justifiably) the manager when his ego effectively alienates the team's attacking mavericks and have a selective memory - and HTT panned & hung Robert out to dry and backed the manager during the dark days of Souness v Robert. This is something I'll never forget either, especially at a time when a manager's warped football ideology & ego were dismantling a team. Robert received a similar a raw deal under Souness, re: Ben Arfa /Pardoo (his football ideology, expectations, and ultimstely ran foul of The King's ego). If you can't find a spot in your PL Era Top 20 for Robert (a productive flawed geniys type, made a massive impact prior to being alienated by a manager) and inclyde Ben Arfa then I think you're a sellout to just about everything previously posted about genius type players (while Pardew was 'ere) and hiw they should be handled by a manager in order for them yo flourish - which Pardew & Souness' respective 'style' is the antithesis of.
  12. Shaddapayaface. You forgot to include the '#' Ian. World class No.10's are tough to unearth, so I'll vote for the option which covers £36m.
  13. A poll needs to be inserted into this thread, concerning the transfer fee received in the Summer.
  14. He was a belligerent anti-football oaf who stubbornly had Ben Arfa warming the bench until Obertan picked up a foot injury, and imho (if that injury setback hadn't taken place) that spot on the subs bench would have still been reserved for HBA. That article is staggering.
  15. Jokes directed toward The King, which include his wife, are piss poor. Pardoo, courtesy of his nomadic testicles & dick, has put that woman through hell. No way should she be considered fair game in a thread dedicated to this fraud of a human being.
  16. The lasting spectre of Alan Pardew graced the pitch, and was in full bloom last night.
  17. If he's as forward thinking as people are saying, and that's what I've seen of him, I sincerely hope they're signing Saivet or whoever to play with him or we'll still be stuck with the space being covered by f***ing Colback. Yup. Also Colback's habitual behavior on the ball (when he's a first receiver) immediately negates the positives - forward movement, and drive off the ball - offered by the attack minded central midfielder partner ie a Shelvey type. Colback really is a disgusting footballer, and footballer is used here tentatively.
  18. Big reason why the drop is just about a formality. The 'shop window' games - where we pick up an unexpected point or more as a result - versus the big guns, are the occasions our best players are motivated & perform as a collective
  19. Problem in itself, when making that switch, if the manager rates Dummett ahead of him - as a fullback. Coming out of contract in the Summer will be a lifeboat for the kid, if Stevie remains and his unwavering support of Dummett continues.
  20. Harsh substitution given he supposedly put in another encouraging shift. Was he hauled off, and Dummett shifted to LB as part of a tactical shuffle back to a conventional 442?
  21. He's the Anti-Colback, and it's why this transfer still gives me the shits.
  22. If you had an ATM card that gave you access to £100,000,000 a year (and rising) in cash, would you chuck it away? Not to mention the free advertising - which is worth a small fortune already, and rising - and exposure his baby receives. An aggressive dose of chemotherapy is required to exorcise this malignant cancer of a man. I believe it's in the form of successive relegations down to the 1st division. Bring it on.
  23. At least he will be fresh when entering the compact sequence of fixtures coming up, so he should hit the January transfer window with all guns blazing. Guess who wins again. [inserts Mike Ashley trollface GIF/meme]
  24. Re: Ryder's rating of 8, and comment 'ran himself into the ground'. Until now I never fully appreciated how heroic an effort it is, and how tough a gig it must be to run in the slipstream of shadows for much of ninety minutes. Thank you Lee. I'm now converted. I love Jack ♡♡♡.
  25. It's how he scores goals (in an outfit that doesn't generate alot of chances as a team) and how he looks in open play, as you allude to (the technical fundamentals - first touch & turn, how smooth everything looks in general), that will secure a move to a club that wants to challenge for honours. Contrary to what somebody else thinks, imminent transfers, and the potential for, aren't purely determined by stats.
