Anyone know owt about him? Any good? Cheaper than £70m? Can we hijack it?

Late swap before the deadline... Guehi is oot. Watch the transfer get sorted now!
-
Nah, Parish wont be able to keep his mouth shut, and will need to let the press and Sky know the amount of the bid and that it still has to be carefully considered.

Its been said before, but failure to qualify for CL may mean some of our elite start eyeing the door anyway regardless of the PSR situation. Even Europa League/Conference may not be enough, if they deem we're still not able to challenge for top 4 properly. But I suspect theres a hope our commercial income can gain a signifigant boost this season which might offset some potential PSR issues next June anyway. Suspect we may have a few deals lined up. Some high value if Citys case has gone well and rules change, and some a little more conservative if they haven't, but still more income.

This is my squad as it stands. Only one I'm wavering on, is whether to stick with Mateta or fetch Toney in (same price), incase Toney moves to a bigger club by the end of the window.

I've included Guehi in my squad, but also have 3 Newcastle players. From what I gather the rules are that if Guehi joins us, I will then have 4 NUFC players, but at my next transfer I must transfer one of them out first to bring the number back down to 3. Was hoping to exploit some FPL loophole, like chelsea or summit!

Or, we're couting on/have a good idea of the Man City case outcome and are confident our imminent commercial income is about to go seriously vertical!

Downie says we 'are close, but just not quite close enough yet'. If we really want him, and have the inclination, I think £60m + £5m (hopefully heavily incentivised) add-ons gets it done.

Thats why I've avoided the likes of Haaland or a Salah this season. They're just too expensive, and its actually allowed me a pretty strong squad across the board. Even my bench has options this season (unlike last), as you say otherwise, you end up with £4m fillers because of the big fee on EH. I did an Auto pick first, which actually gave me a pretty good initial squad, but I swapped a few out earlier this week, and may yet have a final tinker before tomorrows GW1 deadline.

Behind the scenes video is good too. Great to hear Ginola speaking about how this shirt brings back the memories for him, his first away day and goal at Sheff Wed, in the original shirt.
-
Seriously though, I don't recognise him, and doubt he's actually a former player, otherwsie he'd be on the train, or at the very least be getting on it, not declining the invite.

Honestly, apart from the very obvious turkey snides, I'm not sure how you'd know a Daveygate snide wasn't real from a reasonable distance, they are that convincing now, down to labels, tags, etc.
-
Maybe just availability, but surprised John Beresford wasn't involved too, as I thought he was still active in some capacity at/around the club?
-
They have the green stripe/fang running through them (supposed to line up with the fang on the shirt), which wouldn't go with the Away shirt. All about the fangs, remember.
-
Looks like a full hooped back anyway. But no mini badge or anything on the back collar, like the Home and Thirds? Also, anyone know if the back collar on the authentic is different to the replica, like the Home and Thirds are?
-
Just guess it was filmed when Copa America and the Euros were on, and he was away with Brazil, and Trippier and Gordon not being involved in this one either as they were away with England.
-
Class advert, loads of little thing you notice on second (and third viewing).... Darren Peacock, Lee Clark and Steve Watson at the end, just before Ginola.
-
Aye, seems there's levels to Elite-ness. And currently, we aren't (along with a 2 or 3 other teams) Elite+, so no trefoil 3rd shirt for us.

Pre-season (2026/27): NUFC to play Everton at Murrayfield on 12/08/26

What I have notcied in this and one or two of the other frinedlies, the new shirts have passed the 'shirt tug' test. Crapstore shirts would have been in shreds, but so far, the Adidas shirts have held firm. Also, the shorts, I know its the template and we have the lower 'fangs' in black, but they'd look so much better with the 3 white stripes down each side. -

Don't know much about him (Nelson), but according to Ornstein, Leicester pulled out of a reported £20m (incl. add-ons) deal for him, due to the price.
