On the SD signs and Sponsorship, I know AS mentioned end of November for signs potentially coming down and new sponsors, but wasn't the PL linked party ban thingy extended to early December (seem to remember 4th being mentioned)? So perhaps things are ready to go, subject to that? Also on the warm up/down room, it does look a short term measure and quickly knocked up, and maybe something Howe as asked for as the club was clearly so behind the times it didn't even have such a facility for the players.

Some top drawer journalism at the Chronic, regarding Fernandez coming on last night.... Headline: What Eddie Howe shouted after Ciaran Clark red card hints at what Newcastle United have missed Story: Ryan Fraser was soon earmarked as the player to be sacrificed and Howe beckoned Federico Fernandez over with a shout of: “Fede!”
-
Hopefully Howe saw enough to stick with Schar and Feddy on Saturday, and not bring Lascelles straight back in, club captain or not.

Was wondering why they'd need a fitness room at the stadium,. but wonder if the plan is either to train at the stadium more often, and as such this room is for those are maybe doing physio? But also, maybe this is getting ready for training ground redevelopment/development when they cant train there?

Was it 5 or 6 corners we had in that first half?? #IsThisRealLife?

Under Bruce, no way were coming back to level from behind. Howe effect very visible already. Lets hope we can get somethign out of this match ultimately!
-
Probably more shots on target already this match than last 4 or 5 under the Bacon fraud!
-
Equaliser was disappointing, especially so quick, but at least we're getting forward, getting stuck in and trying to win it back when lose it. Definite shift change compared to under Bruce. Lets see if the match fitness improves over the 90mins.

Oh aye, clearly nothing dodgy went on at all then! Was all fine when the PL were delaying and kicking the can down the road for 18 months, but as soon as they finally approve the takeover, there's uproar and he's being forced to resign!

That crest appears to have been sold in 2019, though maybe the seller 'acquired' it when the Leazes was extended/redeveloped (pre-Ashley). Would be great if who ever bought it in 2019 has had it repaired/refurbished and could sell (or even gift) it back to the club for re-use in/on the stadium.

Watched that Overlap thing on YT last night, thought it was decent, TBH. We all disagree with his opinion on Bruce, but he's not gonna (publicly) diss a mate. Still maintains he told him not to take it (the job), though probably more so he didn't work for Mike than because he wasn't good enough. As much as he didn't sign 'for' Keegan, I think its clear KK had a big hand in making his mind up. Shearer said he'd decided to Join Man U at one point, then KK asked for another half hour with him, then he was coming home. Also like the other vid with the quick fire questions... "Best thing about Sunderland?..... They're in League 1"

Another Bullshit piece by Martin Samuels this morning, basically saying we (NUFC) should be kicking ourselves at not being 'bold' and going for Gerrard instead of Howe. Reckons if Gerrard had been appointed, there'd have been 'scenes akin to Keegan coming back', whereas Howes unveiling was 'underwhelming'??!!

Hmm, wonder if theres a reason the haven't been (or been told they can't) able to live stream it?
-
SSN has it on the yellow ticker as breaking news... yet are talking about Dean Smith sacking, and to a Villa supporter.
-
Probably not... will just be pre-recorded interview like Jones got when he joined, and then Staveley when T/O happened.
-
It's also an article by Graeme Bailey. He's a smoggy and even more negative towards us than Edwards!

Can Howe take the half time team-talk???
-
Wouldn't underestimate his stint with England at the Euros in the summer, perhaps making him seem (to the new owners / outsiders) more important than he is. I guess ultimately though, if Howe is happy to have as part of huis coaching team, then its fair enough. I guess he'll drift (back) into the background once the manager and his team come in.
-
You would guess they have to say something either way today, as someone will need to face the media tomorrow, and they'll probably need to say if Jones is definitely taking Saturdays match, or announce Howe (or A.N.Other) before then.

Hindsight and all that. Everyone seemed to want Bruce gone as the first priority. EDIT: NPW

As far a saturday goes, i just want whoevers in charge of picking the team to pick the best 11 players available, and last weekend, there were (arguably) better players sat on the bench, or not even in the matchday squad. And if he can play them in their right/preferred positions, that would also help.

Would I prefer a better manager potentially coming in, of course, but even with the potential money, I think attracting a top level manager, or even the next level may have been difficult given our current position. Could the consortium have done better? maybe, but even at almost a month on, they will still be learning and trying to put everything in place, so I'm still prepared to cut them some slack. As for Eddie Howe, I think he probably fits the bill for the right kind of manager to come in at this stage for where we are, who will hopefully keep us up this season, and if kept on, steady things next year (i.e. not be in another relegation battle) and then step aside when we're in a better position to attract the manager to take us to the next level. All that said, I agree with a comment a page or two back. We didn't worry about someone to steady things or with "relegation battle experience" when we appointed KK and Sir Bobby respectively.

Had just posted this, but have deleted it, about our upcoming TV coverage. Hope we get some new manager bounce, and an uplift in form!!!
