'Imminently'. (though its been imminent since last night!)
-
Glad I'm WFH tomorrow, getting absolutely nowt done in the office today.
-
HAHA, just noticed the forum name at the top!
-
Ah yes, forgot about him. I always suspected he and Penn were the same person (Sean... Penn), but aye, it was him.
-
Who was it on here had that unhealthy thing about Staveley, and had a go at her at any opportunity? Was it 'Penn', who then became 'IMTTS', and eveyone suspected it was Edwards? Does that confirm it? In a 'positive' takeover piece, he's still having a go at AS.

I saw that plane spotting thread, also claims that Ashley's chopper (oo-er missus) flew up here this morning. Total guesswork, and speculation, but would be nice if the consortium (or at least the uk based element) has requested a meeting with Ashley regarding the manager and the teams position, on the back of the NUST survey result gaining traction/media publicity, and particularly with the arbitration dates now public and a definite date for a resolution one way or another. Should it go our/the clubs way, then the last thing they'll want is to be faced with buying a club which could be deep, deep in a relegation fight by then, simply because Ashley won't act. Then again, its probably all just Twitter bollocks and nowt is happening.

There's the problem, bloke knows nothing of being honourable. He even said as much himself last week. "I’m not walking away. I’ve quit before to maybe get another job but it’s not in my makeup to quit now because it’s a bit noisy.” Basically, not walking away from a pay-out.

Good article from Henry Winter, about yesterdays hearing and calling for Independent regulation of the PL... https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/cde8ad66-21df-11ec-a1fd-37d9030e4d65?shareToken=1728eec89e1573d6c7cfd061ecf680c0

But surely if the burden of proof is on the PL, then we would have had even more ammunition to blame the PL for the delays, if they were supposed to prove a direct link, and couldn't, yet still hadn't made a decision on the takeover? That's why I thought it has always been on the buyers to prove the separation, and the PL have not been satisfied with the evidence (or whatever was submitted), hence the non-decision?
-
I believe its the former, PIF have to prove they are separate from the Saudi State. Its not on the PL to prove the link, They are happy just to sit and keep saying they (PIF) need to prove separation, and the can gets kicked along again. However, had there not been claims over the last year or so that declarations had been hand delivered from the Saudi Royal family, stating as such, which clearly hasn't been enough to satisfy the PL (yet).
-
SJHL QC saying its wrong to say PIF are still at the table, though this could just be part of his argument regarding loss of sale, etc. But also, confirming even if the PL approved the sale tomorrow, the CAT case may still go forward for costs claim.

Be telling him to stop fidgeting, making them look nervous.

Here we go, our side begins.

Jesus, he's only just started 'reason 2'... and he has a 'reason 3' as well!

We were at 'This Is Tomorrow' yesterday, and left and headed along towards St James for the bus home late into the 2nd half, and could clearly hear "We want Steve Bruce Out" chants from outside the ground, so who knows, maybe TV & Radio were muting them where they could?
-
Aye, can't let anyone see that there is/was money to spend, whilst there's still the time to spend money.
-
But, does that not mean the PL would want any 'not natural person' i.e. the KSA, to go through the O&D test, which is where this kind of stalled in the first place, with the separation argument between PIF and The KSA, and KSA/MBS not going through the test? To me it looks like the PL have just updated the rules to make that clear now, and its little/no help to us. Happy to be wrong, though.

Ok, so Arbitration is adjourned, but where does this leave the CAT case? Notice this setback is breaking news on SSN, after the protest got ignored. Top class trolling there.

Jordan kept saying it's nothing to do with the governement, and that it was down to the other 14 PL clubs to vote for or ask for a vote on Transparency. Completely misisng the point that the six other clubs would probably not allow a vote to be taken, hence trying to get the Gov to step in. You know, the six clubs who chose their own ESL 'punishment'... 2 of which were also heavily involved in interviewing and choosing the PL CEO? Yes Simon, they're really going to allow transparency.

Just listening to this now. Simon Jordan: "I don't want to be insulting by calling Newcastle fans Gullible.... But..."
