In contrast what we do now is hoof it somewhere vaguely in the direction of Joselu or Gayle and it just keeps coming straight back at us

I think the whole "away from home" thing with Wijnaldum lets him off lightly if anything. He was disgraceful in almost every game from February onwards, home and away, even under Rafa. He got dropped from that team ffs

Even on bad days, Sissoko would run a bit and win a throw in or something and get us up the pitch a little bit. Getting us up the pitch by winning us throws and corners was probably his best attribute
