  1. Conte has the joint highest win rate with Pep in Premier League history
  2. Not sure if anybody here listens to the Luke and Pete show but it's even more noticeable there. Pete does it too tbf in that show but it's really annoying. Someone will be just about to say something interesting, then the other one interrupts them and they never come back to it
  3. You'll be shocked to learn which of Joselu and Troy Deeney have more goals this season You'll be shocked to learn that teams can be better with effective players that work well for that particular team, that could mean a forward who isn't prolific. Tbf like between the two, Deeny or Joselu I'd go Mitrovic. It;s why I'm very happy with Slimani. I never disputed any of that though So why point out who scored more goals as if that was the be all and end all ? Because bimpy stated that Watford had a centre forward who scored goals, when Deeney has scored less than Joselu. It's pretty simple really Do you not think he meant he scored goals (he has) but he has more to his all round game. Thats what I got from his post. Aye well that's what he did mean but he doesn't really score many goals anymore. Anyway doesn't really matter and I have to go to bed

  7. Really liked this quote from Roy Hodgson after our game the other day “I suppose I hark back to the days when maybe people watched football matches, they talked about what happened over 95 minutes and not what had happened within 40 seconds of the 95 minutes because that’s all my interviews ever seem to be, you know? Was it a penalty? Was it not a penalty? Should the referee give a free-kick? Was it handball? And I would sometimes like to get back to discussing how well we did in the second half, how well Newcastle did in the first half and the way they tactically and we tactically used our tactical knowledge to produce the performances we did.”
  8. At least its not gonna be during Christmas
  9. We don't make it difficult enough for them to capitulate
  10. Any contact on your legs when you are running at full speed is enough to impede you. Also still don't think he initiated the contact but we'll leave it there
  11. Jesus man, he’s desperate to touch the ball away from Courtois and go down. That’s the only thing in his mind. Courtois is the one moving towards him, not the other way around. Deulofeu is in a perfectly natural position to follow the ball when he gets fouled. He feels the contact and makes a meal of it, yes but you have to do that if you want a penalty He’s not in a natural position when he’s already throwing himself in the air. If he ‘makes a meal of it’ as you say yourself then he’s not been fouled sufficiently to bring him down and it’s a dive - no? Otherwise he wouldn’t have to make a meal of it and would have no option but to go down. He only throws himself into the air when he's felt the touch. Players who get fouled exaggerate their dive all the time. Even if he's not been fouled sufficiently to go to ground naturally, any contact around his legs from Courtois that is stopping him from continuing his run at the same speed and getting to the ball is a foul

Fair enough

Deulofeu is in a perfectly natural position to follow the ball when he gets fouled. Aye, but I think he was fouled, and players that are fouled but don't dive don't get penalties

  15. I think Deulofeu's leg is in a natural position for continuing his run, don't think he's the one initiating the contact
  16. Howay man. What angle makes that look like a penalty? You said it yourself, a ‘slight touch’, not a chance in hell does that slight touch (that Deloufeu initiated) is enough for him to put both of his legs together and dive in the air - he could easily have carried on running with nee bother there. Angle from directly in front of the incident. A slight touch of your ankle when you're sprinting flat out can easily make you fall like. Its obviously very theatrical mind
  17. That’s utter bollocks I’m afraid, he’s got no interest in continuing his run or getting to the ball. I disagree. Once he feels the contact he goes down theatrically of course but he doesn't even move towards Courtois or anything
  18. I think that's a pen from the angle I've seen. There's a slight touch I think and it stops him from continuing his run and getting to the ball
  19. I watched some analysis videos of him recently. His touch, passing and positional awareness are absolutely s****. And he has zero work rate. Its actually hilarious how poor he is considering the price. Wouldn't be happy if we paid £4m for him. How have they managed to get that so wrong man I mean ... what on earth were the scouts looking at for goodness sake. Probably him dominating Man City in the CL last season
  20. Aye, agree with that. Tbf I thought Napoli would have fallen apart a bit by now after Juve closed the gap to 1 but they've held their nerve well so far
  21. Mbemba is much more composed but he also makes just as many errors
