Looked very bad for Oviedo What's with this week and so many horrific injuries ?! In other news, PSG's patchy form continues with a draw in French league. The Norwegian kids looked very bright for Cardiff today as well....raised my hopes of them taking something from Old Trafford on Tuesday.

Double boner. Hit them hard.

Hearing Kuba has done his ACL. Dortmund just can't catch a break, can they ? Gutted for Kuba. One of the few real pros and gents left in the game these days. Love him !

Brum 1-0 up vs. Swansea.

Won away at a s*** pitch without suffering new injuries with an eye on the derby on Tuesday...with my favourite scoreline. 2-0. Utopia

People keep talking about how to fit RVP, Rooney and Mata. David Moyes, a manger whose training methods is more concerned with running laps and endurance as opposed to ball work, will not have all 3 available at the same time if he persists with his training methods. It's already crooked RVP and Rooney this season, and it will be a miracle if all 3 stay injury free until end of the season. Carrick out for a month too. So they'll visit Britannia without Carrick and Vidic. Can see them dropping points there. Carrick will also be a big miss at Emirates vs. Arsenal. I calculated, Manchester United can afford to drop maximum of 12 points until end of the season to have a shot at 4th spot (it will give them 73 points). City (H), Liverpool (H), Everton (A), Stoke (A), Arsenal (A), Newcastle (A), Southampton (A). Fair to say it'll take a big shift in Moyes' results against big clubs, and injury-free session to their injury prone attacking players to achieve that, and wait for the other 4 teams to falter. Interesting times. I am leaning towards Spurs getting 4th at the moment, seeing our inactivity and utter incompetence in negotiating and sealing deals, and atrocious luck with injuries.

spilled coffee all over my work desk reading this at work. Great analogy after a failed transfer (covers all the monitoring the situation, lowballing, waiting a bit, eyeing a transfer, etc parts well)

Totally understandable. But people fail to realize we make f*** load of money too. The most money a non-CL team makes from anywhere in Europe. A lot of revenue. It's not Chelsea/City style owner spending. Ever since the Carroll/Downing debacle, it seems like the owners are afraid to surpass the 15M mark for a player. But, top players are expensive for a reason. Well, looks like we'll need an awesome luck with injuries and Suarez/Sturridge to keep their form up for rest of the season to have a chance at maintaining top 4. Really thought this would be the window where we'd make a statement. I was wrong.

Very good point. I think Dunkin has the potential to contribute to the squad next season. Need a loan in Championship first to get used to physicality and grit of the English football first, though.
-
Just saw the detailed process of how Salah deal happened. f***ing hell, we are embarrassing. Extremely unprofessional by the clowns who negotiate the deals. It's fine though....we've managed to sign a commercial deal with Dunkin Donuts this window. That'll do for top 4 race.
-
Salah was scheduled to have medical at Melwood tomorrow, like 24 hours ago Willian all over again.

Mourinho actually running the transfer window in England. Just as I thought I couldn't hate the c*ntish c*ntface even more. He'll probably now sign Draxler and loans him to Vitesse.
-
Apparently we verbally agreed a fee with Basel in first week of January, and then decided to lowball and bring the price down by a million or 2. Ian Ayre doing his best Joe Kinnear impression. Honestly, our best chance of top 4 in half a decade, had all the momentum in the world 1 month ago after Suarez' contract...now down to 15 fit players training and doesn't look like we'll sign anybody either. Infuriating. A very Mike Ashley-esque transfer window.

Altidore is one of the worst footballers I've ever seen. Seriously, Borini on wheelchair is more useful than him.
-
They are chasing 3 teams for that 4th spot. and are starting 6 points behind them with 16 games to go. and their European duty to comeback (and they are likely to at least advance to last 8 in CL) which means even extra games. They are of course in the race (and so are you lot if you don't sell Cabaye), but it'll be a massive task as they need 3 teams to bottle it and fuck it up, and not only one.

Roma vs. Juve in Coppa Italia on as well now. Decisions, decisions

Haven't seen too much of Walker under Sherwood, has he improved ? GJohnson is having his worst season in years, and in my opinion doesn't even deserve the make the 23 men squad. Would be nice if Clyne gets a chance vs. Denmark in March. Having said that, if not Walker, someone like Smalling/Jones will probably start at RB in place of a natural right back.
-
-----------------De Gea---------------- Rafael---Garay------Dante---Coentrao ----------Gundogan--Koke----------- --Januzaj----Fabregas------Reus-- ----------------Cavani------------------ They'll be a massive force next season with this line up.

Coleman injured for the derby ?

Get in ! Now go and score another.

The fuck are WBA thinking leaving Sessegnon, Berahino and Malumbu on the bench from the start ? Mind boggles.

^ They are part of this bottom half though, Mole. I think Palace have an excellent chance to survive given their home fixtures, Fulham on the other hand, have an absolute nightmare run coming up for the next 2 months. Literally could easily lose their next 10 games: @ Swansea vs. Saints @ Man Utd vs. Liverpool @ WBA vs. Chelsea @ Cardiff vs. Newcastle @ City vs. Everton . A lot of great games next mid-week whatever you look at it. The biggest league merseyside derby in years, 2 of the most in-form teams in league in Spurs and City going head to head, Solksjaer's return to Old Trafford, relegation 6 pointers (Swansea vs. Fulham), (Crystal Palace vs. Hull) (Sunderland vs. Stoke), Midland derby.
-
Anyone else thinks Swansea could actually go down ? Winless in 8, one of the worst home records in the league, European duty will be back soon (They'll get spanked by Napoli anyways). Their next 3 games are all 6 pointers vs. Fulham/WestHam/ and Cardiff. Bad results there, and they would find themselves in bottom 3. Laudrup's Mallorca team did very well in their first year, but in his second year they had a decent start, but went on a massive winless streak and finished just above relegation at 17th and survived by goal difference (or maybe one point it was).

I will never understand how Italian football works. More chance of getting a grasp of full pi number.
