Can't see Cardiff mustering more than 6 points in their remaining 5 games. So long ! Solskjaer has acted like a massive brat since appointment : "Zaha should celebrate WHEN he scores" etc, and It'd be nice now that he's been found out at this level. Baby faced cunt. Massive game at Craven Cottage next week. Reckon Norwich MUST NOT LOSE. Their record vs. Fulham is awful, so will be pretty surprised with anything other than a routine home win. think WBA and Palace are pretty much safe now. Derland and Cardiff gone, Last spot between Fulham and Norwich.

It's unreal how shit Sunderland are at home against relegation fodder. Bet ya they'll give more of a game to City at Etihad, compares to West Ham at home. Definitely something mentality related.

Definite genius in the way he's made most Chelsea fans (Those I know, and judging by their forums) think Chelsea the little inexperienced "pony" in the title race and they wouldn't be there without him. Has inherited a team that finished 3rd with 75 points last year, has spent 100M to further strengthen it, and yet plays it as it's HIS genius work that they are in title contention. Losing a game with 2 players sent off ? Let me just walk into the pitch and act like a total twat so the result will be forgotten. It's all apparently mind games, perhaps losing the last 2 away games was a mind game too, to give false hope to competition and make Chelsea the under dogs again. Genius work. I see Rafa has delivered some nice digs at him today.

He's Putin's version of football managers. Charmless dictator who maintains success at expense of being a total boring sc*mbag. Dispicable hypocrite who will hopefully go trophiless for the second year in a row in a star-stacked team that has spent hundreds of millions

Some noises about Sherwood.

What do people think the big transfer in PL be like this summer ? Chelsea's star striker ? (And then what happens to Lukaku ? ) City's Kompany partner ? Arsenal maybe spending a bit? Man Utd making a lot of huff and puff, but they won't be able to offer CL Can't see Levy bringing himself to spend after last summer, mind you.

They were much closer 5 years ago. They've basically got nowt to lose now. They're gonna finish top 4 but very unlikely to win the league. Chelsea are 1 point above with worse GD and seemingly they are favourites. So I don't think it's VERY unlikely. Earlier this season we seemed more comfortable against the relegation fodder at home, but nervy against top half opposition. Since turn of the year, it's been quiet the opposite. Our best games are against better teams. Maybe that's why I'm quiet hopeful of the next 3 home games coming up. Big weekend coming up. All top 3 could easily drop points.

Play shit and win. Sign of those teams Jokes aside, Kevin Friend was abysmal as always, but it was great to beat Sundo despite our worst home performance of the season. Onwards and upwards. One step closer to relegation for Marra and co.

Sunderland playing a 4-4-2 with Dossena, Wickham, and Altidore all starting. Still the midfield diamond for us.
-
Not sure I agree. Milner in 09-10 had a breakthrough season centrally at Villa, the exact same time as Schiwensteiger's break through season as a CM after years of playing on the wing, it's sad to see how their development has gone differently. Still think he is a very intelligent player, and has been a success at City. Has a footballing brain that likes of Downing, Young, Cleverly, etc can only dream of.
-
Am I the only one who actually rates Milner pretty highly then? He is a very useful player when not deployed as a tradition 4-4-2 winger. The more central, the better. I also don't think Wilshere should be a shoe-in starter by any means.

They are the new Fernando Torres. a couple of goals in League Cup or Relegation fodder (AKA beating some dross) and be hyped as being back to their best, and CORNER TURNED...only to take another drubbing and going back to shit when they face a side of any quality. Mata tonight though. Dreadful,
-
Swansea could well get relegated for this. clean through on goal, 1 vs. 1 with Szcezney, and the ref blew the full time whistle. Absolutely baffling.
-
Just seen Poyet's pre-match presser. Does he think he is some sort of Mourinho/Ferguson, trying hard to act tough ? "Without Suarez, they'd be mid-table" Well, if there was fear of complacency before the game, it's now gone. Hope we go hard on them without lube.
-
Best away record in the league now. 4 Clean sheet in a row away from home. Hope they twat City on Tuesday and top the great week by giving Dave an extension.
-
But conceding three to Cardiff is probably the reason they won't win the league. But Suarez is carrying that side and just serving Sturridge on a plate time after time. What a player. I suspected the same after the Swansea game mate. Then we kept back to back clean sheets away at Saints and Man Utd. It appears our defense is a lot more concentrated and better in big games, that's why I am not too concerned about it personally at the moment. Whereas against relegation fodder, they take it for granted and play sloppily.

Can't wrap my head around how Benfica came 3rd in their group. I remember their home game vs. Olympiacos was played during a flood and was more of a water-polo game. Shame. They are my favourites to win EL (Seeing Conte doesn't give 2 shits about Europa). They've come very close on 2 occasions in the last 4 years, reckon it's their 3rd time lucky.

I reckon for Neutral's viewing this would be the most entertaining draw: Real-Chelsea Bayern-Man Utd Dortmund- Barca PSG- Atletico All 4 will be fantastic ties. On the other hand, we could have 3 ties with 2 countries of same nations playing. Hope the hot balls are set up for the draw I posted above.
-
Think PSG is also too good for them to handle. If I were motes, my order of preference would be: Dortmund, Atletico, Chelsea, PSG, Barca, Bayern, Madrid. Madrid can embarrass them, totally humiliate them. Would love that match-up. Especially to see Bale vs. Buttner in the first leg.
-
So who's the worst team in the last 8. Dortmund or Man Utd ? bet they draw each other now.
-
Looks like Torres will be headed to Inter as well. Can't wrap my head around why they're getting washed up, over the hill players from PL for a team needing a rebuild. It's the last thing they should do, and instead target young hungry players. That summer of 2009 apart, Inter never fail to amaze in the market. They have sold so many top top players of the years (either from their academy or at young age) and bought journey men rubbish to replace them. Thought they may be a change of direction with sacking of Branca, but it appears not.
-
O yea. They wouldn't be in the conversation. Perhaps I worded it wrongly, should have been. "Being helpless against money teams is a tad over-rated". It's amazing that had it not been for a miraculous last second Agueroooooooooo goal, all City would have had to show for their 1 billion + invested in the past 5 years were 1 FA Cup and 1 League Cup (the haul that Dalglish almost managed to win in one of Liverpool's worst seasons of the last decade). City are managing a lot better off the pitch though. They are creating their brand perfectly, are innovative in social media, and properly building grassroots of the club for long-term success. Can't say the same about Chelsea, but they are managed better on the pitch and win trophies at ridiculous rate unfortunately. But just because those are mega-rich, I don't think the hope to the rest is dead.

Giggs, Welbeck and Nani are set to start according to the Times. Interesting to see Giggs starting considering all the rumours flying about him falling out with Moyes. A bit weird if Nani starts after 3 months out. but he'd still be more dangerous than Januzaj. Personally think Carrick has got a free ride this season with poor Cleverley being scapegoated at his expense. Carrick was by miles the worst player on the pitch on Sunday, and if it were to me, he wouldn't start tonight.

Anyone else thinks Money is a tad over-rated ? I keep hearing City and Chelsea are set to dominate for years/decades, but despite both of them being rich for combined 15 years (10 chelsea + 5 city), they still have won less PL titles combined than Ferguson did in the last 7 years. Yes, Ferguson was an all time great, but he showed if you build a team who can be very formidable at home, and smash the bottom 10 away from home, you'll always be in the conversation for the title, and he won more often than not. City and Chelsea having unlimited money doesn't stop Liverpools, Arsenals, and Newcastles of this world beating the dross in the league. A manager who knows his beans, a proper team that plays with belief and confidence, and the right purchases goes a long way to compete with oil money IMO. I mean, Chelsea have 25 players on loan, they could probably buy the entire bottom 10 of the league and send all their players on loan too, but does it matter to their challenge this season ? No. In the end, you need around 16 capable and trust-worthy players to challenge. That's the roster, and I think you wouldn't need oil to do it.
-
Times reporting he could face the sack if they are eliminated tomorrow. :'( Really hope he wins either tomorrow or against City, preferably the latter. Will be absolutely baffling if Welbeck doesn't start all those games. He is so so so so so much better than Januzaj when it matters (And even on the wing) it's not even funny.
