Prior to Dalglish/Hodgson farce, we were finishing in top 3/4 almost 80% of the time that decade in the league, and often went deep in European competitions. If that's average position, then I'll take it right now. I also have a question. What is it that Everton is nearly the second club of most Premier League fans? Maybe Neil can help me out with it. The only fans beside Liverpool fans, who can't stand Everton, are Man City ones. Everyone else seems to have a massive love-in for them. I believe when their "cuteness", "overachieving with limited budget" actually fruits tangible success, then people will go back to wanting them fail. Anyways, this thread on Thursday 7:30PM. Either a Parky equalizer if Liverpool lose by 3 goals or more, or a Rodgers goal if we become the first team to take something away from Etihad.

Never had noticed the numbers until today. Unreal

We play absolutely nothing like Swansea. It's quite nice to almost everyone and their dogs expect us to lose the next 2 matches. Means we'll be under little pressure, and hopefully we'll thrive under it. Haven't lose 2 in a row under Rodgers, so fingers crossed the trend continues. They're all just nervous because they were so wrong about Rodgers. As I stated from the start, you will challenge for the title till the very end. Especially after you further strengthen in January, as your owners have consistently backed the manager, and will be excited about your progress. I'm jealous. I don't think we'll even come close to winning the league. But It'd be very disappointing not to get the top 4 after being top at Christmas and playing such great football. Even if the next 2 games end up in disappointments, We'll be approximately 4 points off top 4 having played 10 of top 12 teams away from Anfield in first half of the season, which will be very nice and handy in the run-in as we'll host all of them (Man United aside). I still think the only side guaranteed a top 4 spot are City. The other 3 spots are for grabs of the rest of top 8 (Though Sherwood at Spurs could fuck them up after a couple of new manager bounce games)

Today, for the first time I realized the first player to Goal Keeper's left is the FIRST SUB. and not the one furthest to RIGHT Which meant Curtis Davies subs in for Luke Shaw and not Mertesacker. Fuck

We play absolutely nothing like Swansea. Rodgers abandoned his tiki-taka plan exactly a year ago. After that farcial defeat at home to Aston Villa in December of 2012. It's quite nice to almost everyone and their dogs expect us to lose the next 2 matches. Means we'll be under little pressure, and hopefully we'll thrive under it. Haven't lose 2 in a row under Rodgers, so fingers crossed the trend continues.

Merry Christmas boys and girls. It's been a great year around here.

This cunt Lee Mason again in charge on thursday at Etihad. Where is Webb these days? Fuck, never knew I'd say that.
-
Sherwood been offered Spurs job until end of the season apparently. Fantastic news for all of us.
-
Arsenal appear to lack energy.
-
Straight Red cards for Hazard/Ramires and Ramsey/Giroud wouldn't go amiss either.
-
You do have Suarez though... Aye, and Sterling hitting form now could cause Koralov a few problems. Yaya-Fernandinho midfield is gelling nicely, and to stop them, you need to press them hard and give them little time on the ball. Allen and Henderson are great pressers, but can they last the pace and stamina for 90 minutes ?! Not too sure. Really hope they play both Dzeko and Negredo, because it'll mean one of Nasri or Navas will miss out. Shame Silva didn't get a booking on saturday to be suspended for this. He's absolutely brilliant If Skrtel starts, I'd put a mortgage on him conceding a penalty to Kompany at a set piece. Hope it's Toure-Sakho.
-
There is a realistic chance Everton will be on a 7 game winning run coming to Anfield in end of January looking at their fixtures. Dead excited for Thursday, everyone expects City to maul us. No pressure whatsoever...hope we rise to the occasion.
-
Suarez is still a good choice for captain at Etihad, since the game will probably end up 5-3 with him setting a brace.
-
Yea, I can't stand Skrtel either. He puts so much panic in me. I just don't feel comfortable with him even if he's having a good game. Not to mention, he always passes it back to the keeper when put under pressure. Sakho is incredible on the ball. I lost count of number of times he found a Liverpool midfielder in Cardiff half or around the centre circle today. Think that's the reason Agger is benched now, because Sakho has as much technical and ball playing ability, while being better at general defending as well. Johnson, I used to love watching him play in full-flow. But currently he's our weakest link. He's been in terrible form for a month now. Seems to go through motions during the game and not concentrated. Can't see him getting his contract extended if this carries on.
-
Shocking at defending set pieces, Yes. Still the 4th best defensive record in the league still if I ain't mistaken. (well, playing at Etihad will probably ruin it :'( )
-
Everytime Skrtel steps on the pitch, it's a gamble. I'm certain he'll give away a penalty of shirt pulling in the next 2 away games. He's been doing it for almost half a decade.
-
63 so far without bonuses. Ramsey, Coleman and Shaw to play. Remy has gone badly off the boil. Think I'll give him one last chance vs. Stoke. Fingers crossed
-
Decent preparation for Saturday's match against Suarez Liverpool FC. Think the opposite actually. He'd want to leave his post on a high note. Performance of the season by Cardiff incoming. Back to Mackay, looks like purchase of Cornelius for 8M and him being injured may have backfired. Though to be fair, the owner was probably looking for an excuse to get rid of him
-
Unreal. Think they actually have a decent point tally considering they've mostly played the big boys in their ground, and not the dross about them that they should be beating in Cardiff in second half of the season.
-
Speaking of transfers, I can't think of a single twitter account, more attention seeking and ITK wanna be than Indykaila. Can't believe that guy actually has 90k followers and is now contributing to TalkSport radio. He's a 19 year old virgin from Leicester ffs. Mind-blowing that.

Liverpool have offered a 2 year deal (option of a 3rd) to Xabi Alonso for a free transfer in summer, if he doesn't renew with RM. Ayre managing director has also travelled to Barcelona to negotiate a new contract for Suarez with Pere Guradiola, his agent. Xabi deal, not sure how I feel about it.
-
^ Yep. He wasn't keeping many Clean Sheets to be fair.
-
seems like both Aguero and Zabaleta will be out when City play Liverpool and Newcastle in the next couple of weeks. Not bad
-
Aguero and Shelvey out. Rooney and Silva in.

It's interesting that fans of other clubs find AVB a likeable and respectful guy, yet those of clubs he manages (and their players) appear to really dislike his behaviour. Must be something we don't know.
