A bit involving morata I think but even then, the fee earlier wasn't 40m euro.

Brother you realise this is because we dropped the ball?Como had if done at 25m euro the difference is the cost of our own incompetence. To add on Palace got Lacroix for quite cheap and did forest with Milenkovic meanwhile Wet spam paid 45m pounds for Kilman.
  3. Yeah I think we were OK to find a back up forward this summer I think we knew we'd need one. We know for certain a centre half was a priority for us this summer yet here we are. If we take a step back this is canny for Liverpool, worst case is they don't get a world class striker at a cut price. No big deal for them they will manage. Worst case for Isak is the status quo for 12 months again not earth shattering. Massive upside for them both if they can force it however.
  4. I don't think so honestly for us selling him this summer didn't make sense, still had 3 years left and obviously as we've witnessed replacing him is very difficult. I think this summer was meant to be about sorting out the pressing needs and then we address striker next summer. It's a big reason why we are in such a shambles atm. What they are willing to pay simply aren't serious offers.
  5. They couldn't because Liverpool have no intentions of paying the going rate. This whole move can only happen if we are destressed into selling cheaper. The fact they paid so much for Wirtz really demonstrates that even 150 is a great deal for a player of Isaks quality.
  6. Absolutely, it's very important to remember that what has always been touted is Eddie has the final say over transfers.
  7. Yeah it's true looking back that's absolutely the case, but we fans we are always going to have a special relationship with strikers who bang them in.
  8. I also can't over how much my feelings about him have changed. Not arsed he wants to it's totally understandable but like this? He can get fucked.
  9. I mentioned when this first came out that he might have been faking the injury as when you take the rose tinted class off it didn't add up.

Aye definitely I know we aren't left with fantastic options, Samu represents major risk however I think we have to roll that dice at least he has elite athleticism and is young so can still improve.

I mean we need to replace Isak with a player who can hopefully get to the same level. Larsen isn't that imo. He's a tidy player I like him but he's not a player who you'd expect to be starting for a CL Pushing side. And 65m?

We have but not in a significant way All clubs have misses in the market no issues on that front. The point in making is more a long the lines of we have to targer players who can kick on and go up another level, I'm OK with Wissa as a rotation up providing the fee isn't daft but 65m on Larsen would have Wolves pissing themselves. Decent player no doubt but not one who's going to improve much or has outstanding qualities imo.

If we do walk down this path of short termism then it's a clear change in direction mind. Let's see I don't want to judge before it actually happens

By pissing 100m up the wall on two players whom we will never get that back. Would be top work by all involved.

Going to pretend this isn't the case and carry on regardless.
  16. Ya know Eddie right? Mr we aren't close to anyone with Harvey barnes 50 feet away?
  17. Only one will play at a time. If football was a game where each team started with 22 players priced would be much lower. I think one of the points worthy of consideration for selling him is how the money can be used but we need two strikers in an inflated market the timing for all of this is horrible.
  18. He wants him gone And I don't blame him for that desire.
  19. In responding your hypothetical question with a hypothetical answer. I have a degree of confidence because your hypothetical question is very much hypothetical as absolutely nothing has been said about a promise to sell him. A promise to sell him and a promise of a new contract are basically opposites. If your saying we've met him this week and made such a promise then more fool us. Leverage is a very simple concept the club might want to learn it.
  20. The proceeds are 100m 35is going on a 29j year old back up. So we have 65m left after that then the money is gone. It's not at all transformative.
  21. Football business is restricting what others can spend.
  22. I'm responding to a hypothetical which seems very hypothetical given Isak has been leaking like crazy why would this piece of pertinent information be saved? You literally came up with the hypothetical and I'm the confident one?
