Yeah, so we can only conclude the majority of the members are perfectly happy to continue as they are. I think the most depressing aspect of modern football is that us fans do not matter what one bit; apart from to be milked or course. Our opinions on any subject relating to our teams are simply irrelevant to the owners and these kind of votes are such a perfect example of it.

I’m not keen on conspiracy theories that x team would be punished etc. I understand your sentiment though, I think ultimately the PL needs to decide if it’s acceptable or not and let’s not forget the PL = sum of the members. I think at minimum they should be able to sell the hotels and obviously book the profit, but in no way should any form of income be allowed from a sold asset and that’s a loophole which needs addressing.

If the backers are in it for the long term it won’t bite them, they can afford these contracts no issue. The contracts dished out in baseball are much larger for example and if I’m not wrong Boehly has been on a spending spree with the dodgers too.

Seems to hinge on the hotel sale which the PL still haven’t decided on. Also; the historic breaches which they self reported under Roman, that for some reason is also still pending which is fucking weird given they self reported. As daft as I know this sounds, the only reason clubs like city and Chelsea resort to this nonsense is due to the stupid FFP rules.
-
It was but they still got what? 300-400m out of it.
-
Even after the first of July? They must be relegated to get shot or some players if that’s the case. The Madueke link makes a lot of sense in this scenario.
-
If that is indeed the clause then yes.
-
Two reasons, selling the youth talent pool they’ve spent 2 decades building. And gaming of FFP and its restrictions including long contracts so the fee is accounted for over a longer period of time and other related party transactions.

Good luck to the FA

What do you mean?

Don’t expect a comprise, any change would require a vote and given this has gone as far as arbitration it appears the PL hand will have to be forced.
-
Spanish lad at the Athletic said Barca want to shift Raphinha this summer.
-
If true this is bad news for a lot of PL clubs I can imagine ADL putting the price up for Osihmen too
-
Ok so it’s five, doesn’t really change the risk on our side if his injury history doesn’t improve.
-
I wouldn’t dare have the temerity to go against Orny. 6 year deal seems a bit of risk on our side mine given the injury record. I guess the other side of the coin is if he gets over his injuries we have tied down for a long time.

If it does all come crashing down, those established elite clubs will have nobody to blame but themselves. They’ve had ample opportunity to create rules which promote competition and yet at every turn they’ve done everything In their power to do the opposite.
-
Our options? If man united decided they didn’t want Ashworth I imagine he would rot on gardening leave and go at the end of his contract.
-
He’d half to take a pay cut of more than 50%. Seems unlikely.
-
If your willing to personally pay his 300k per week I’m all for it
-
They are desperate to shift him

Feels like Bayern are a bit lost mind, one of the few big clubs buying these players at peak age and price.
-
Absolutely we certainly will have to gamble to an extent, might as well roll the dice on someone who may actually improve so someone younger rather than Leicester back up striker.
-
The ship set sail ages ago, unfortunately in football we don’t tend to go back the good old days only spiral further into degenerate behaviour.

As I’ve mentioned many times, it’s absolutely baffling we don’t have this structure in place at this point, you can leverage a club outside of PSR rules balance sheet and ensure only the best talent makes it to the big leagues. I get this is unsavoury but it’s about competing.
