James Maddison (now playing for Tottenham Hotspur)

Also, as others have mentioned the clubs which we intend to be competing with have also strengthened so it will be interesting! Either way we should go in to the season feeling positive, we can finally look forward and not backwards and that is huge Rome wasn’t built in a day and our rivals in the league will do anything they can to halt our progress. Incumbents hate being disrupted. -

Still plenty of time to go in the window but we really do lack goals I feel. We learnt heavily on set pieces last season and we haven’t improved our goal out put as of yet. -
The country paying for the stadium has helped tbf.

Any idea what Chelsea’s net spend would be if they pulled all of this off? makes me angry that these same clubs who spend the earth blocked our takeover and put rules in place so can’t catch them.

To get this back on track from the inane ramblings let’s discuss the following. how likely is this to happen? does the fee to close this represent value? where would he fit? does this impact/trigger us to sell say Miggy, Fraser or even say ASM? -

Either way, the leaks are from Leicester so might as well wait for the tier1 midlands source to confirm. not that it matters -

They don’t need him imo. My only question mark about us signing him is where does he fit in a 4-4-3? -
Brighton are so well run.

You can’t? Personally I feel we are one of the most attractive propositions who aren’t playing in European competition. We have ambition and some players will want in on the ground floor. -

Given our clubs relationship with his agency I have no doubts this is a goer if a fee can be agreed. -

A 5million increase is perfectly reasonable btw. Not sure why people are pissing and complaining about it. -
Maddison is much less of a gamble than Diaby.

Maddison and Werner would be unreal.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Interesting you mention DM’s as we haven’t really been linked with any. -

Do tell us more discman, you feel the money would be better used on a dedicated striker:winger? im guessing you also think it’s a bit of a round peg square hole? -

Why is Ritchie being a bellend? -
Pretty sure Paqueta would love to come here tbh. Maddison would be a great signing, although given our system he would be on the left no? Makes me wonder if we have someone who wants ASM.
-
Maddison is a very talented player but isn't he more of a 10?
-
Indeed it is, I was jesting because this forum loves to pick out relegated players it’s a yearly tradition.
-
wanting to buy players from relegated sides is classic NO transfer window stuff.

They always pay crazy fees especially for full backs. Brighton have all the leverage here he’s just signed a new contract.
