Do people think we have a chance of winning the cup this season?
-
We aren’t that weakened Was making a general point as to why club's do it.
-
Teams play weakened sides in the cups because they aren't relevant as far as the club's are concerned. Modern football clubs are businesses and the prize money on offer isn't worth risking injuries for.

Booking for me.

Change the record man, everyone knows he isn't very good. When he stops playing games, I'll stop mentioning how bad he is. Again you get what you pay for, he plays becsuse we have nobody else. If this was a league game Rondon would be playing.

Kenedy kicked out there I thought.

Save your money and go to the pub instead. Stop funding the leech.

Ah well, we will see if the next manager fancies him next season.

Exactly...the "failure" was not investing in a more proficient centre forward, hardly Rafa`s fault Agree, I understand people's frustration with certain players but it feels misdirected to me. The angst of our supporters always seems to spill over, imagine what we could achieve if it was directed properly most of the time. Wew hang on.. I 100% agree that the failure is lack of investment. You are right what you say you get what you pay for but to say Joselu has been anything other than a failure is bollocks IMO. Like I said I didn't know much about him before he signed but he was worse than I expected, therefore IMO he is a failure. Would you class him as a success? Has he successfully scored us goals which he was brought into do?? He's par for the course given what we've paid. Scores the odd goal has the odd good moment which is about what 6 million gets for a striker in this day and age. He plays for a side which doesn't suit his limited ability and doesn't score many either by the way.
-
He doesn't want to keep Rafa. I disagree slightly, he doesn't want to keep Rafa on Rafa's terms. I think he would love to keep a manager who can keep us up with minimal expenditure personally.

Not sure how players who cost so little can be considered a failure honestly. I mean, you generally get what you pay for.

So do we view Lukaku and any more potential incomings as a play to keep Rafa or the bare minimum to ensure survival?
-
Only relegation and no promotion will hand the power to the support. So be it.
-
It's just I so understand this isn't easy for people. Giving up on something they've done for years through thick and often thin. But giving up we aren't, we are taking the fight to him through the only means he understands. He main own the club but it doesn't belong to him and if everyone stops going we will own it again.

Well done to all those who are holding Ashley in the same contempt he holds our great club. Don't ever forget the club is nothing without the backing of the fans.

My applause to S Norman.

Well this needs some explanation... The cost of relegation had always been borne by the club as those loans. So far the relegations have only hurt the club not him unfortunately. Well he owns the club as far as I know so how doesnt that hurt his investment in it? He wouldnt have been able to recover the loaned money if we hadnt got promoted. That's the point Kasper he always gambles we can be promoted and as we see today, slowly recoup his "loan" accordingly. It's why I believe it would take a sustained spell in the lower leagues to get rid of him. So he has lost money but has been able to recover it so far. No guarantees that will continue to be the case. This is the gamble he takes. And it's of course leveraged by the countless millions he's taken back in free advertisements.

That's true but he loses very good marketing with sports direct when we get relegated. Aye, that he does but he always backs his ability to get the club back up by having the largest payroll. Which is testament to the fact he knows running us on a shoestring is to the club's overall detriment. Broken record I know but everyone has to stop going and explain to people they can't support him and the way he runs the club.
-
People really have to stop going. It's unfortunate it will take our collapse to get shut of this parasite.
-
Pretty sure he wasn't getting a game when we got him? And I think got him in the championship is the key here. Either way, it hasn't worked out and the outlay was minimal.

Lazaar was a Palermo reserve iirc? Think he was meant as a stop gap to be moved on either way he's not particularly good and can't defend for Toffee. As for Saivet he was an offensive player who was converted to a defensive central midfielder and had a decent season playing for St Eteinne. Mbemba ignore tactical instructions costing us goals despite being told repeatedly, Mitrovic didn't fit the system as explained by both Rafa and Mitrovic himself. I think it's evident that both aren't premier League standard.
