  1. How much was Diaby and Kudus?
  2. It does at this stage, I hope I’m wrong as I was with Gordon though.
  3. Our budget was clearly extremely limited, spinning 60m on a CM was a poor decision given the amount of other areas we evidently needed to strengthen and didn’t. Im aware of his record and his ability’s but could we afford him?
  4. We really need to avoid these BNPL deals too.
  5. Yeah but they’ve also thrown so much shit at the wall they are bound to get some right.
  6. Try and temper your frustrations it’s paper talk after all. I do hope we don’t climb into our shell though, the Tonali deal being such a disaster might scare them.
  7. To be frank, if we knew we were sailing so close to FFP spending so much on Tonali was a bit mad
  8. Hard pass on expensive premier league players.
  9. Main issue his complete lack of availability recently rendering him useless.
  10. I’m sure it will go through, some deadwood cleared which is good.
  11. Aye. I’m aware but from what I heard they are being punished for the same infringement which is wrong imo. I understand why it’s that way as I mentioned in my post but the point being the rules are clearly poorly thought out if you can be punished for the same thing twice.
  12. They sold rice, FFP won’t be a thing for them for 2 more years.
  13. Doesn’t take 2.5 years to pass that. We are slow. And that slowness is one of the reasons why we can’t buy our way out of our current injury issues.
  14. Such a wet spam signing.
  15. According to Bein Ben that’s exactly what we are doing atm
  16. We don’t even have to go as far as touching the stadium at this point; training ground and training kit is such low hanging fruit though.
  17. Only surprising thing is how slow we are. The gap we have to bridge is huge and only way we compete is due to these deals which I appreciate are unpopular.
  18. He’s not going anywhere. The club would have to push him out for him to leave. He left Spain because his family were homesick.
  19. Listening to the podcast now, I really dislike crafting and his straw man argument. He mentioned we’ve done ok so far and we’ve been allowed to invest, that’s purely because Ashley didn’t. Moving forward we wouldn’t be able to do so because of the drawbridge created and lobbied for by the team he reports on. The agenda pushing on this podcast is hilarious, and the complete lack of discussion regarding alternatives to the flawed system is disappointing. We can protect clubs from going bust very easily by creating rules such as depositing money to escrow accounts or directors guarantees. This isn’t rocket science or difficult to comprehend. So the actual discussion is around fairness and balance, and it isn’t fair that Man city and Chelsea are who grew when it was the Wild West are allowed to maintain that position when others such as ourselves and Villa are competing against rules which are both ineffective and unfair.
