I fear for Rafa if this doesn't happen, what happened to those assurances about the next 3 windows which were often discussed prior to him extending his deal?

Aye it's stupid given the amount of money in the game just pay it. I actually think they got him for an artificially low price due the release clause so don't blame them for wanting more. But i suppose our argument would be they did the same when hey bought him off us, and now only 5 months later don't want him and expect us to pay more for a player they don't want. Getting knocked out of the cups is unlikely to help his argument given our board actively dislike cups and discourage doing well in them. It's a bit of a no win for him, go through with a full side and risk extra games and injuries, or play a weakened side and hope they are good enough to get through. Given how little first team appearances those players have played this season demonstrates how highly Rafa rates them. I think it's clear the aim is promotion at as little cost as possible.

You want him sacked? Don't think anone wants him sacked but he is not a god and is open to criticism when deserved and there have been a few times like today when it has been totally warranted. That is true but imho we couldn't possible get a better manager thus making criticism counter productive to a certain extent. Makes sense given they owe us 3mill this month. We should just accept and pay the them the remaining in 10 in the summer given its highly likely we will go up. It's a risk but seems short sighted not to given a player of his ability would make promotion pretty secure.
