  1. Notice how after the fans slamming the club for being unambitious they suddenly start talking about the champions league? Talk is cheap Alan, Talk is cheap.
  2. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28483237 Newcastle manager Alan Pardew says Southampton's summer departures offer a warning of the price that clubs can pay for missing out on Europe. Last term Saints fell short after finishing eighth in the Premier League. And they have lost Luke Shaw to Manchester United and Adam Lallana and Ricky Lambert to Liverpool, while boss Mauricio Pochettino moved to Tottenham. "If you don't make the Champions League, the big teams come for your players," Pardew told BBC Newcastle. "Look at Southampton. We're pushing every year to try to build and hopefully get to a stage where we make it without losing our players." Newcastle signings so far this summer Daryl Janmaat Defender Feyenoord Jack Colback Midfielder Sunderland Siem De Jong Midfielder Ajax Ayoze Perez Forward CD Tenerife Emmanuel Riviere Forward Monaco Remy Cabella Forward Montpellier The Magpies have been well-backed by owner Mike Ashley this summer, with managing director Lee Charnley and Pardew working closely to secure their main targets. Forwards Remy Cabella, Emmanuel Riviere and Ayoze Perez, playmaker Siem de Jong, midfielder Jack Colback and defender Daryl Janmaat have moved to St James' Park this summer. And Only Mathieu Debuchy of Newcastle's first-team regulars has left, joining Arsenal. "It comes from having a very good relationship with Lee Charnley," Pardew said of the increased activity. "We've spoken everyday and are on top of every transfer. We've pitched in and signed players that we think will give us a chance to push for Champions League." Since returning to the top flight in 2009-10, the closest the Magpies have come to a Champions League return has been a fifth-place finish in 2011-12. There was optimism last season that they might challenge again last term with Pardew's side sixth in December. However, the loss of Yohan Cabaye to eventual Champions League quarter-finalists Paris St Germain during the transfer window was one factor in a late-season slide which brought just five wins from 19 league games between January and the end of the campaign. "We have already shown signs that offensively we're much better covered then we were after Yohan Cabaye's departure," Pardew added. "We have options, more options to come in and it's going to strengthen my hands to tactically change the team." "At times last year we didn't have the option as we didn't have the players." BBC can fuck right off spreading this bullshit.
  3. Yup he is. I'm totally against giving arsenals reserves first team football and handing them back as well. It says it all that Pardews targets are the likes of Jenkinson and carr wants the like of Janmaat and Aurier. English grit and tackle... English garbage. Expensive to dispose of. Actually i think Jenkinson is alright but Janmaat or Aurier are better players. I'm glad it's still Carr who is listened to, still begs the question why no one within the club is questioning Pardew's mismanagement of the players. I used to be solely in the let the manager buy his own players and then live and die by them, until we got this prick as manager, which changed my mind in an instant. Bimps Jenkinson would have been a huge downgrade on Debuchy. He's the sort of fullback I'd expect to see playing for relegation fodder tbh. I know he's nowhere near Debuchy, it's just me having watched him a fair bit think he's not as bad as some say. He's got potential to be quite a good player. It won't be the first or last time i'm wrong about a player tbh He's lacking with the ball at his feet for me especially in the modern game where fullbacks are providing the width. Whereas i think he's ok with the ball, matter of opinions i guess. Sure is mate I just think he's distinctly average that's all. Opinions on players is part of my love of football. Wouldn't it be boring if everyone thought the same about every player. Pardew thread is a good example of this to be honest.

I used to be solely in the let the manager buy his own players and then live and die by them, until we got this prick as manager, which changed my mind in an instant. If they are listening to Carr over Pardew then surely they are admitting that the manager they have isn't working with the same philosophies as the club, in which case why is he still manager? It's mind boggling, because we know he's s***, the club knows he's s***, we know the club knows he's s***, and the club knows we know he's s***, and surely even Pardew isn't deluded enough to not see that he's s***. Absolutely spot on, it makes no sense at all. And makes the Ashley has him as he is cheap and follows Ashley's orders to the letter as believable as ever. That and he's on an 8 year contract. Ashley knows he's s***, but as long as we stay up and he spouts the official club propaganda he doesn't really care. Spot on basically, he's doing the keeping up on relatively small wage for a Premiership manager and licks his arse. What's not to like for Ashley. Pair is fucking scumbags pardon my language.

  6. I can't see us buying anyone else personally. Mike wins again.
  7. I don't get the hype around Campbell to be honest. He scored about the same as Abeid did in Greece last season. I dont get the hype about Rodriguez to be honest. He scored about the same as Aliadiarre in France last season. I knew it would be you

  10. So annoying we haven't splashed fuck all in relative terms. How about we spend some TV money or heaven fucking forbid Ashley invests that 25million a year like he originally promised. Fat cunt

  14. Disagree. He will be a year older proving himself in a league which he's already proven himself in also he will have 1 year less on his contract. If he wants to play in ligue 1 he will have to take a pay cut and we will have to make a loss. I fully expect pardew to be here next season so he still won't be wanted imo
  15. I'm sure I read yesterday he was signing a new contract That was just Astori made up by the press. This should be a bannable offence ffs Na, that's Brazil playing like cowards and getting hammered. http://media2.giphy.com/media/Mbu5QBfNqNqTe/200.gif Couldn't resist my friend. Apologies

  18. Maybe people will stop posting suggesting we buy this crock now.

    3-5-2

It wouldn't work would it though? Both Cabella and possibly De Jong would be wasted. 3 at the back with our defence? we already have Garbage centre halfs having 3 of them on the field at once is a terrible idea.
  20. Would anyone be satisfied if our business is complete in this window?
  21. It's just very run of the mill for me personally. The midfield unit doesn't excel at anything which is disappointing to say the least. I like Anita a lot but for me he can't be played as part of a "2" As for Tiote the less said the better.
  22. Doesn't help that our central midfield is powder puff.
