Players generally don’t play with broken toes do they?
-
Isak has a broke toe ffs? Was this the case before Fulham?
-
Your definitely the type to wear all of this at once anarl.

Again, the league is made up of the clubs who decide collectively and the league proceeds to enforce it. It’s strictly business for these people hence the lack of punishment for clubs who tried to double dip. The owners know they earn more money keeping Liverpool and Man United happy than the what they would earn if they somehow left hence the current situation. Basically big money ruined it.

All my anger is reserved for Paul Mitchell.
-
The strange thing about all of the issues the PL face is the clubs absolutely insist on having rules which tilt the scales. It’s very difficult to argue against rules which promote fairness and an level playing field.
-
Oh yeah, we have this to look forward to

Too many unknowns at this stage to say anything with any degree of confidence. That being said, the theory is PIF can pump money on via sponsorships without having to prove the value, due to the size of PIF nobody can match the muscle they have financially.
-
Are they? The PL as an organisation is just following through on the votes the member clubs have taken. Ultimately, the majority of the league voted for such silly rules.
-
Thats too much potential competition and these clubs do not want competition.

I understand, it’s hard for people to critique the folks the saved us from Ashley. I’m with them on that to an extent. problem is. It’s the owners that said these things unprompted so as fans it’s up to us to hold them accountable.
-
The goal for such a venture wouldn’t an immediate increase of pnl it’s about increasing the value of the club as a whole. And yes it’s a gamble but we won’t be “number 1” with our current facilities.
-
Would be perfectly on brand for us

This is pretty much where I am, if your budget is 50% of your rivals because of stupid FFP rules you can’t compete on a consistent basis and given how slowly we move we either aren’t aware of it OR we are ok with it. Either way, if we aren’t closing the financial gap we are falling further behind. So fingers crossed for city today and fingers crossed our owners are about what they claim to be.

I’m curious to see how this plays out, my big concern is how we actually get past the stagnation pitfalls which I feel is our biggest risk. We have to grow our revenue at a faster rate than the cartel clubs and dragging and delaying things will only make this harder. Going to be a lot of #wait in future from the looks of it.
-
You’ve been saying this or a version of it from the start tbf.
-
They would literally be eating themselves, hilariously.
-
It’s such an impeccable racket. I was thinking spot forest and how they got done, it’s really bizarre promoted clubs have less FFP leeway when promoted, how to be anything but a yo-yo club in such situations? The incumbent advantage is monumental and it’s why most of the clubs love these rules you are basically protected from competition weather your a cartel club or an established mid table club.
-
The amusing thing about this is the clubs who are against these rules will also be picking up the tab as it will just be deducted from the “pot” Hopefully this will give them all food for thought.
-
They are both pretty worthless sadly.
-
We don’t know if that changed that’s the point. The league has gone out of its way to block them and we’ve been largely compliant. Either we will know for sure in due time.
-
If it’s purely an investment play absolutely.
-
We aren’t close to that yet, I think a few are concerned myself included but not close to calling for heads or anything like that.
