They've spent a fortune, even more so than they did Under the russian. With that comes expectations. The model maybe different but I don't think for a minute expectations have dampened.
-
Absolutely we will, I guess my point is he doesn't need to be good competent should be enough 5 CL places up for grabs. I think they system they have is too rigid but that being said Maresca isn't anything more than competent imo and he dug his own grave.
-
If they are going to continually invest massive amounts id expect them to be always in the mix tbh. Arsenal fly under the radar for this but this is what they've been doing since Arteta and it's seen them get closer and closer. Obviously arsenal aren't so rigid in buying inexperience mind but being competent should be enough for a Chelsea. They don't even need to be good as they've shown these last 12 months.
-
I think they want to see the assets they've bought appreciate which means CL. Ultimately the expenditure they have means that's par for them. Didn't Maresca also tell them he was actively talking with Citeh as well?
-
Perfect for them. He will sit down, shut up and do as he's told. They've been grooming him for this after all.
-
I'm hoping they don't get ideas and look at Hall or Tino.
-
Absolutely that being said I thought Wissa movement yesterday was great.

For manager performance you only really need to see the net spend during the tenor and the wage bill. Forn will fluctuate but for performance some form of mean reversion is expected

Glasner is a very good manager imo.

I don't think we wanted to sell Bruno, we just knew the contract had a clause and we clearly had a deal with Bruno that it someone meets the clause. Gordon was the oh shit we have to sell someone fast but I think what Liverpool were offering wasn't deemed acceptable. The rest is history if you will.

Hoping they patch it up and keep going because they are going nowhere under him. Gutted they didn't splash mad money on wingbacks though. What they have is salvageable. They would have one of the most potent attacks playing 4231 imo.

He'd be getting glazed to high heaven if he came through a cartel academy.
-
He's one of our best players atm.
-
He's immense isn't he? Mateta bullies Schar and Botman but Thiaw handled him perfectly.
-
Hopefully us having a longer break comes in to its own in the second have and we nick the win.
-
Canny player but we can't afford him.
-
What's the name of the podcast? Will add it to the rotation.
-
Aye I think he's quality, lost the entire defence last summer and are still completing. Obviously a question mark due to his lack of experience at the top but he'd give it a go.
-
Err I mean that's one perspective right. The other is we've been poor away from home for 12 months and we lack any form of identity which is odd given it was such a strong one we had. Throw in the free reign to buy players and massive outlay in the summer has some people questioning and an extremely small fringe asking for him to be removed.

Zero output for 40m from your advanced midfielder isnt good.
-
This is precisely it.
-
If true that's very reasonable imo. Basically perform at par in terms of cost.

No Burnley's agreement with City related to accepting a matching bid. Burnley and city's agreement can't bind Trafford as the clause is between the two clubs.
-
Citys clauses was with Burnley not Trafford City had the option to match any accepted offer. Trafford choose City for whatever reason.

Was alreet at first before you listened to him on podcasts waxxxing lyrical about every single person at every single club. No doubt he has the best sources in England mind.
