Those people that renewed on the back of Ashleys promise and 3 signings

It's not even that it makes for farcical games for fans pre season, if he's playing people he doesn't intend to play during the actual season then he's got a screw loose. Yup I'd have liked to see him focus on getting the first team up to speed and gelled as much as possible.

Metro L'Equipe. Aren't they also always wrong?

How many other teams would hire a manager who has just been sacked from a side from the division below. Get the impression that we wanted him long before the sacking the and that the sacking was in part a result of our interest. I guess. The club may well of wanted him but they also wanted Pardew and didn't consider sacked him despite how dismal we were. The appointment of Mclaren was endemic of the clubs lack of ambition.

Well speaking personally he has to win me over, I didn't want him as manager but now we have him I'll give him a chance. Doesn't mean his failings won't be pointed out though.

Bolded is key for me, he's taking the easy options with selections when he should be stamping his mark on things by never letting certain players near the first team again. Yeah the easy options like Bigi at full back... I think that's more because he wanted to rest Janmaat and didn't have anyone else to play full back.

I disagree I think he knows exactly where we are at in regards to signings. I hope the fans who decided not to renew haven't renewed on the basis of 3 signings we have managed to get over the line. It's good to know we have the stability and continuity of the good ol' #wait though.

On a plate for him. Chelsea disgust me.

Aye got a feeling we will get Austin to placate but probably sell Cisse or Sissoko to compensate.

Did you see the pivot and through ball from De Bruyne?
-
The fact we have a manager who hasn't thought to throw them together at once in any of our friendlies is quite worrying imo.

Not sure why they would be, Mclaren shouldn't have been allowed anywhere near this job to he honest. Beside the point though, giving him stick when we're 0 games into the season is beyond pathetic. People are always going to be sceptical, especially given he isn't wanted and bad decisions should be called out. It's pretty embarrassing to be honest. Agree with Dave's comments earlier mind. I think pathetic is a bit strong, i can see why people are peeved given he shouldn't have been appointed. And his decision making does look a bit questionable.

So does Woodman. Somebody different, please. no more of this hiring someone because they are local shit.

Ffs. Disliking Mclaren already Not that I had a particularly high opinion of him in the first place.

Because our pre-season schedule has been an absolute nonsense and playing our best eleven at this point would probably be counter-productive to their fitness levels. What? What's not to understand? They'll have been fatigued/jet-lagged from the America trip then had two daft away games in the space of a few days immediately after. If McClaren could have played his best eleven today he would've done. See my edit mate
