  1. Can we get steele in ffs. Fat Mike must be moving this Derbys coaching staff for free
  2. fyp Naaa we will sign someone who is mediocre and the Chronicle will spin it as some major transfer coup.
  3. All this and we will end up with some riviere mark 2
  4. We can be a stopgap for him. Have one good season and prove you can do it in a top league and then be sold to a bigger club. Everyone wins particularly if bigger clubs don't want to take the gamble.
  5. Aye, can't wait to sign a load of championship failures
  6. and his agent Of course but then again I don't hate agents
  7. It's a fantastic deal, instead of paying a transfer fee to Marseille they've paid it to Ayew.

    Steve McClaren

Lol imagine the paltry wages we are offering
  9. Yup don't rate him at all personally.
  10. They only want our money. If they actually wanted any sort of positive change they wouldn't have appointed McClaren.
  11. Has mulensteen been linked? That would be a terrific appointment if so.
  12. Didnt Douglas say Gomis wanted an obscene signing fee of £5m plus £50k a week to come here? They dont seem to mind paying silly amounts to players when it suits. Really cant see how we can say Ayew wasnt worth the money if it was within our budget, its not like we are renowned for preferring to pay bigger fees.... He was free though and if they believed he was a top class striker the money they'd have to spend on transfer fees alone would more than cover his demands. All that happens with free transfers is a shift of money from club to players
  13. Peanuts relatively and knowing us probably includes wages too

Smoke and mirrors, we've just hired a manager who was sacked by a championship side 2 weeks ago

    Steve McClaren

If McClaren performs to the expected standard (doesn't get the club relegated) he has a job for life. Exactly the same as Alan Pardew did really.

So the club has no finance director in the same manner sports direct hasn't for the last 18 months. Never misses a trick Mike

Manager on the board? Must be a first for a top flight club
  18. Offset that against the lack of transfer fees and it's peanuts

That barebones coaching set up to remain I see.

Is Woodman jr. really any good? Honest question. He has represented England at youth level fwiw. Given he's had his father's "coaching" throughout his career and also given we decided to play a Alnwick who has since been released I doubt it.

I think the sticking point with the "goalkeeping guru" is his son being contracted to us.

Woodman next please proper coaching for the first time in years
  23. Fair point. I didn't think Chelsea wanted to sell Bamford, is there not chance of a loan deal for the season? I'm sure they rate him highly, but just want him to get more experience. If we can get Austin, Bamford, with Cisse and Perez, I'd be pretty happy with our frontline tbf. agree with this No Thanks. We should aim to be better than being Chelsea's feeder club. A loan without an option to buy is something we should look to avoid.
  24. Something I've been doing personally for a few years, hope all our fans get on board and hit the cunt where it hurts.
