Manager on the board? Must be a first for a top flight club
  2. Offset that against the lack of transfer fees and it's peanuts

That barebones coaching set up to remain I see.

Is Woodman jr. really any good? Honest question. He has represented England at youth level fwiw. Given he's had his father's "coaching" throughout his career and also given we decided to play a Alnwick who has since been released I doubt it.

I think the sticking point with the "goalkeeping guru" is his son being contracted to us.

Woodman next please proper coaching for the first time in years
  7. Fair point. I didn't think Chelsea wanted to sell Bamford, is there not chance of a loan deal for the season? I'm sure they rate him highly, but just want him to get more experience. If we can get Austin, Bamford, with Cisse and Perez, I'd be pretty happy with our frontline tbf. agree with this No Thanks. We should aim to be better than being Chelsea's feeder club. A loan without an option to buy is something we should look to avoid.
  8. Something I've been doing personally for a few years, hope all our fans get on board and hit the cunt where it hurts.

No evidence at all to suggest a failed manager would magically make a good coach. I think we need either coaches who have a proven track record of improving players or young coaches who have fresh new ideas

Couldn't it be Eric Steele? Considering Woodman is apparently leaving for Palace. I hope so, that would be an upgrade.

Chronicle mentioned McClaren bringing in a local coach I wonder if that's where the Lee Clark link came from. Hope we stay clear of old boys personally.

Nothing sensible about it, would give him 2 years max personally.
  14. We do love a good cut price downgrade. Another player we wouldn't bother touching if he wasn't on a free. He's not shit, but his injury record is nearly Bantz level. He's just not a player we should be looking at. He is injury prone and we already have a better right back at the club. He's a poor centre half but an upgrade on what we have. Ah well, we've appointed McClaren on a similar basis.

  16. Those yellow Adidas boots are horrific.
  17. Ceremonies for a single fucking game
  18. Champions league football and Trophies, could possibly start there too given Lavezzi isn't the most consistent player
  19. http://www.getfootballnewsfrance.com/2015/newcastle-united-and-aymen-abdennour-the-situation/ In the last days, Newcastle United have made an enquiry to AS Monaco concerning defender Aymen Abdennour. Get French Football News reported that Newcastle had made an approach to the player’s entourage in April, but that their advances were rejected at the time. Abdennour has concrete interest from Valencia, Wolfsburg, Tottenham and several other sides. Newcastle United have neglected the fact that they have received negative indications from the player’s entourage and have stepped up their interest this week by approaching AS Monaco over the player. Abdennour has recently signed a contract extension with Monaco until 2019. Player isn't interested but we are still trying to bid for him. Sounds familiar doesn't it?

Thats it exactly. Ashley gives us the smallest improvement possible on what we had previously in Pardew as he will when it comes to signings this summer. Paper talk of Abdennour for £20m That renewal deadline is coming up lol

He's just underwhelming, i don't think anyone is saying he's outright bad just we should be aiming higher but that's Ashleys NUFC in a nutshell.
  22. We just won't ever get any coaches with new innovative ideas will we?
