  1. Iirc as soon as the takeover went through they put a block on all sponsorship deals pending urgent review of the rules.
  2. We could and should have done a lot more in both player trading as well as having badi commercial deals for training ground kit and stadium. Look we either want to compete or we don't. But being slow and taking half measures railroad you in to the not competing by default. We need to leverage the full power of the state of Saudi as PSG have with Qatar and as city have with the UAE.
  3. Fuckin hell. That's absolutely mad. It's so frustrating, we really need PIF to invest in us as we are miles behind. If we aren't closing the gap we are falling back into the pack.
  4. Haven't seen arsenal's number but is that correct? Depressing yet predictable if so.
  5. The fact market value can be judged by the league and be brought down is ridiculous. Basically the Premier league will decide the rate at which you can close the gap.
  6. From what I've seen which obviously isn't enough I really like him too, but kinda like NO favourite MGW I don't quite see the fit for us/affordability.
  7. Ian, you don't think your final paragraph is what is going on now? The Premier league is a company and each club holds a share. It's this structure which allows them to get away with such actions. As I've been saying for a long time now, don't expect the rules to change to make our lives easier by choice, ultimately the current rules benefit for the majority of shareholders as limiting competition is the name of the game.
  8. Now you understand the motivation for the other clubs voting for these rules. To be clear nobody wants to actual compete because competition is expensive.
  9. Agree I think we missed the boat as well. 50m for a centre half is a lot for us. Our squad needs a lot of renewal. Cunha isn't a right winger from what I've seen so I'm not sure how he fits unless we are selling Gordon or changing system.
  10. Who was the expert? I wonder if he supports one of the incumbents. Unlike the cartel clubs I don't need the deck to be rigged in our favour I just want a fair chance to spend what anyone else can.
  11. We had no financial rules for over a 100 years We walking back all of those trophies or nah? As you've pointed out Shak we should designing rules around competitive balance and not to entrench an elite.
  12. As I often say, Rich people have no jeopardy. Ruben wins either way, by taking the job he's set himself up for life. It's often commented he didn't want to take the job until the summer yet he took it anyway.
  13. Why? If you aren't interested just don't read it. I think it's better to keep all man united talk in here and other games today personally.
  14. They have to self fund. So they owe a lot of money. They almost went under during covid for some reason they got a loan from the bank of England. This is why they are a cartel club, they simply don't have the finances to be able to compete without thes restrictions.
  15. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6139149/2025/02/17/manchester-city-newcastle-long-ederson-tactics/ Tactical breakdown from the athletic. Worth a read.
  16. It's as I said they need to get back to consensus building. The cartel simply has to compete at some levelvv
  17. When is his contract up?
  18. Joke of a league and joke of a performance.
  19. Anyway jokes aside Frogman proper shit news that. I've watched you a couple of times because I wanted to see what Anorim was about and Amad was the only player who looked decent every time. Massive blow for you lot.
  20. A performance worthy of the Saudi Pro league. Well done lads.
  21. Your match h against spuds is going to be a shit off.
  22. He can barely move. Would be a disaster if he was.
