That's correct it would still be helpful as it would put a hard cap on the gap, it essentially brings the entire field together even with the squad cost ratio.
-
Not on twitter so can't see the whole thread. That being said Anchoring is problematic and the PFA will be fighting it should they go ahead.

This is problematic. Let's zoom out. Manchester United is a company listed on the us exchange. Are we buying a stake with any investment or is it a donation to the shareholders?
-
Lisa Nandy was on the athletic podcast and they asked her would the govt be providing funding to old Trafford and she basically refused to rule it out. Old Trafford meaning the actual stadium

10/10 will watch again.

To circle back to everybody's favourite subject ffp. You can see why the sky 6 would rather blow up the league than ever let it go away. Imagine what Eddie would do to arteta if we were actually able to invest and comparable levels.
-
That actually makes sense. Extremely unlikely Liverpool would be willing to pay what it would take.
-
I don't think he understands how much he would cost. If Isak is to leave in the next 12 months I can only see PSG.
-
As someone else pointed out, Eddie and legohead can't stand each other. It couldn't be more obvious
-
That's a shame, I'm guessing it goes to league position in that case.
-
If Liverpool beat spurs does it practically guarantee us Europe next season regardless of the final?
-
He's also noticeably fitter this season which is good to see.
-
To you it does aye, but you are not the intended audience. It's obviously a much wider convo and your entitled to like what you like but as someone who was raised in the inner city (not London) the terms you use and the way you speak is your sense of belonging in your community.

I've always been a fan of Rice but he let himself down today, if we assaulted Odengaard in the way he assaulted Bruno with that ridiculous tackle arsenal fans would be demanding an apology from the PGMOL.
-
Hope we can keep growing so we can tie him down. He isn't replaceable in and shape or form. Haaland maybe the best the best goal scorer in the league but Isak is the better footballer and it isn't even close.
-
Language is constantly evolving you may not like the terminology used but it's what the young culture is in London.

Being delirious at 7am is canny

You can ask and see what people say. A gallowgate expansion doesn't help much with ffp. But obviously would allow more in but the cost probably makes it not viable.

One more thing I forgot to add Those who want to stay with no changes, would they be happy with us getting both left behind by the sky 6 and potentially being over taken by clubs such as Villa who are willing to do what it takes to compete? We can complain about the rules all we like ( I don't think anyone on here be-moans them as much as me) but they aren't going to be loosened imo so this is the big picture choice that's actual being made.
-
Definitely I do too but my personal view is somewhat different, I want to see the club become the best it can be and stick it back to those who've looked down on us for as long as I can remember. Should this happen and we take the right steps elsewhere it will be even more satisfying seeing us compete with such artificial constraints placed on us. That's my selfish angle. The other angle I have is the ability for the next generation of supporters to be able to be watch in person and not be locked out is of paramount importance, so a new stadium with a larger capacity is a massive plus, from Sydney to shields everyone should get the chance to see the team play.

It's not possible to remove all objections as people don't want to change for a variety of reasons.

What I'm saying is: 2 sides to every coin and on the face of it the sale appears to be good our squad remains a massive puzzle which needs both taking apart and putting back together. No overthinking going on, but that's a good way to dismiss what I'm saying. Schar and Burn don't have 2 seasons in them on top of this one IMO, thankfully Burn is a lesser issue as we Botman to come in already. Schar as much as I love him is past his best now and I think it's been evident this season and to anyone who has watched him attempt to actual sprint. Krafth contract is up and yeah we can renew him but you'd think he may actual want to play football IF he's ever fit. If you don't follow the PSR discussions which I totally get this conversation is also quite pointless because everything has to be understood within the context of it like it or not.
-
I really can't judge Kelly whatsoever the amount he played makes it impossible to do so imo. Versatile back up left centre back is what I viewed him as, nothing has really changed that. Pope is the prime example of what I'm referring to in terms of our current defensive profile, not going to improve, resale value dropping and apparently fragile in goal keeping terms at least. As I said earlier in the next 24 months we will need 2 keepers, a right back, 2 right sided centre backs, a left centre back as well as a left back. And that's without factoring us losing any of Hall, Tino or Botman. I just find our position really interesting and very challenging, even if we can get players in on lower salaries than our old guard the amortisation of buying these players could hurt. Mitchell has to pull rabbits. On a totally unrelated but related note, our academy investment has been far too slow and will cost us.
-
I'm not saying I don't agree but we have an issue which is going to require perfection from Mitchell to resolve. We have a squad full of defenders which are old and have contracts expiring and also need expensive reinforcements up front. My post was highlighting the other side of the coin that yes, we've got money for someone who was free, but we also have a ticking time bomb in terms of squad composition which is going to need a lot of money to resolve.
