Pleaaed. Seems like a lively spikey winger who will contribute. Not the finished article but as long as he works hard and give his all he'll be fine
-
I liked it when he shackled the best player in the history of football Knockeart at Brighton, he's good at pure backs to the wall stuff. Then remember back to Bristol City at home where he had a horror show. Think he'll be useful for us but we still need an upgrade or at least someone to come in and challenge him
-
That's interesting, and suggests he might not be just cover for Yedlin. However good he may be going forward, Yedlin needs to work at his defending. He was especially poor at stopping crosses coming in, and that appears to be one of Manquillo's strengths. If you read Douglas's book it seems one of the most important things that Rafa wants is competition. It prevents stagnation among players, every single player needs to fight for their place in the team.

We still have quite a young squad, think we could really do with some experience who've been around and have PL craft and nouse. In goal, DM and striker would be excellent
-
probably how the bulk of their squad will look come September

The work the Mackems have to do increases

The idea of not always signing "purples" is a weird concept for a lot of fans, this is new territory under Benitez. He wants a deep squad, he will undoubtedly get a fair few wrong. He deserves our faith, the most relieving thing appears that the wheels are turning

Razor blade time or an alreet signing as cover?
-
Looks absolutely class

Hopefully signing as cover. It is still a bit of an alien concept for NUFC this type of thing.

Lad who was at the Sunlun?

We simply can't afford to enter a PL season with an inadequate squad, we can't go back to the days of the likes of Colo, Taylor and Williamson as our CB's in the Premier League or whatever the modern day equivalent might be in any area of the pitch. Rafa is at war imo, the Martin Hardy article the other day about the 'financial drawbridge' being pulled up as case in point. Ultimately he's going to lose it, maybe not this summer but at the least next.

Does seem to be a fair bit of bitterness about this. 8million was derisory for such a good player, now £10 million and add ons is AMAZING for a player who has had one season. He must be decent
-
Clearly has quality. As long as he comes in and grafts, is willing to learn and improve then the fee is absolutely peanuts

Caulkin reckons Norwich are holding out for money but deal appears close

If he takes Colback's place then I'm all for it. Winger isn't he? Nah CM? We need one of those Aye, CM. I'm not convinced he's that good but he's better than Colback and we could do a lot worse I guess Aye the benchmark for incomings is "well he's better than Colback" slightly worrying

Another striker is an absolute must
-
Can't wait to miss out on him
-
Apparently he's a left footed RW who likes to cut in

Don't think they are being unreasonable asking for £16m
