Interesting comparing this squad to 15/16, we are better now imo. Who can forget that in that season our starting CM's were Colback and Anita ffs. We had a weak as piss uninterested Colocinni as captain, the squad was horribly imbalanced and the dressing room was split. Steve was an absolute disaster as a manager. This current squad undoubtedly needs work but we are far better now than we were at the start of that season

It's going to be fascinating to see how we do in this game. Rafa will have a plan sussed no doubt about it, think we'll play well but just lose FWIW the Mackems took a point off them at home

Agree with most of that but don't think he'll love anything about the current boardroom politics. Rafa seems to be a less edgy character than he was at Liverpool, he wants to continue his project here and safeguard our PL future. One of his last priorities will be boardroom wrangling. Arguably he isn't being allowed to do what he wants, he's kept up his side of the bargain and it appears the club haven't kept theirs, he's clearly f***** off by it.
