Who's getting upset when Johnson gets mentioned? I think most Sunderland fans will expect abuse from opposition fans for a very long time. Most of us are big enough to take it.

That isn't even close to being true. There is a very vociferous minority on there, as there is in many walks of life, which make a disproportionate amount of 'noise'. If you look at that forum, especially away from the Pure Football pages, it's actually a very good forum with some excellent intelligent posters. Not all Sunderland fans are supporters of sex offenders, just as not all Newcastle fans are horse punchers or telephone box destroyers.

How are these two things even related? The reason why it's unwise to comment on an ongoing court case of this nature is simple, it's called contempt. Websites, just like any other media, are liable to prosecution for anything which is posted that may be prejudicial to the case . I'll comment fully when the case concludes.

Some saying Defoe is going to be OK. I f*cking hope so because there's only him and PVA who really look like scoring regularly. I know people say we let Fletcher, Graham and Wickham go but they were absolutely hopeless. Fans from other clubs often have opinions on players which aren't held by fans who watch the players week in week out. Fletcher and Wickham fall into that category, Graham was just pure gash.

I'm almost completely disillusioned with Sunderland and I too have indoctrinated my lad into watching the steaming turd they try to pass off as football. I feel guilty too. Then Leicester turn up, and have a season like they're having, and with a team which cost ten bob and wouldn't look out of place in the botttom six, and I think maybe.......just maybe.

Only one of them was a clear offside, and we were on the receiving end of a shocking penalty decision. Swansea f*cked up. They should have kept coming at us when they were 2-1 up, even with ten men they could have won. Instead they sat back and let us take the game to them. Bad decision, presumably by their manager.
