Firstly can I say that the fans who were disrespecting the memory of John Alder and Liam Sweeney are scum, and I'm sure 99% of all fans, including ours will say the same. As for the match? Well I thought it was more entertaining than a lot of derbies I've watched over the years with both teams creating chances. I was more than happy at 0-0 with the clock ticking down, but I said to my mate that I thought we might catch you on the break as you were getting more gun-ho when you were attacking. Sure enough I was right. I really don't know what it is about the way Pardew sets his teams up for these games, but he really does seem to give them to us on a plate. I'm not complaining mind Anyway, it's made my holidays, but I'm not here to gloat, so I'll just say have a good Christmas all....and stay safe

Decent discussions with you and the other decent mackem on here will be appreciated after the match as well, don't be afraid to come back when you've dicked us 3-0 again. That will not happen again, but I'll be back on regardless of the result......but probably not on Sunday due to being rendered insensible by liquor

Ah well, we're nearly there and the nerves are kicking in Why the fuck did I fall in love with football? Not many sports do this to you. I'm never confident with these games and as ever I'll take a draw now. I hope it's the football that gets the headlines, and not a few hundred cretins who can't hold their ale. I'll probably be back on here after the match (depending on the result ) but if not have a great Christmas all.

I heard it was £60K Bargain
-
Yep, and £8 million for Wickham :'(
-
Dismal record. 2 wins at this stage of the season is just awful. No strikers. It's a problem we've had since Bent left.
-
Have you seen us this season? A draw is the best we can hope for, and to be honest that would be the least troublesome result. Also, I don't think there will be no escort post match regardless of the result.

This NP decision is bizarre. So we've gone from proposed bubble trips, steel fencing, and escorts to and from the ground, to the freedom to roam and possibly cause mayhem right in the centre of a city.............. in the space of 11 months? I know the MH17 disaster brought a new found respect between many of the rival fans, me included, but will that really be enough to curb the drunken excesses of the minority? I hope I'm wrong, and I'm certain the vast majority of fans will behave, but you only have to look at some of the comments online to see that there's still quite a few knuckle-heads who fancy a battle. Hopefully it's internet bravado and they'll lose their bottle when it comes to the day, and NP and those fans won't have blood on their hands. On the other hand, if this gamble by the police pays off then it may well be the dawning of a new era in the countries best derby. I truly hope so.

Possibly, but they've signed loads of players for a lot of money who haven't performed and as a result they've got themselves into the situation where they either give them a new contract and increase their wages or let them go on a free. Adam Johnson's contract is up for renewal too soon, isn't it? He's their highest earner apparently and bar one month last season when he was s*** hot he's done nothing to suggest he's a £10 million player, but spend £10 million on him they did and they've now got to decide whether they write him off or go back to him with a new contract offer in the hope he'll hit some form in a year or two and they're able to claw some cash back. Johnson got 10 goals from midfield last season, without which I'm sure we'd have been relegated. He's like almost every winger I've ever seen, inconsistent, but I think £10 million was a fair price for him. Great result for you lot yesterday and I'm starting to fear the derby game already.

We f**kin don't ! Well not in the Premier League anyway. As for this winning streak ? As long as it ends on 21st December I'll be happy
-
That was it. Mind, I hate it because the ref never changes his mind, but all clubs should be charged. And will you lot f**k off with that photo. I know at least two people on there
-
Pretty pleased with the performance though. Keep it up and we'll be fine this season.
-
I might struggle with another 5-1, otherwise I'll hang around

One of the best days of my life, that. Everything going on was awesome. No it wasn't....it was sh*t ! A nightmare on Halloween. Thankfully we've had a few good days against your lot since, which has helped erase those awful memories somewhat As for last night ? We didn't play particularly well but came away with what seemed like an easy 3 points. I'll be surprised if Palace aren't relegated this season. I hope they are just to see the look on the faces of those 50 or so prepubescant 'Ultras' that bounce around in the corner every home game.

Ah well, my early season optimism is fading away. Fucking hopeless in every department again today. Another very long season beckons. :'(
-
Unreal. To be fair to him he's been mint this season, so I'll forgive him
-
I always come on here no matter what, but I've got to say it's hard today One of those crazy days. They had 9 shots on target and scored 8, and we had more possession. Some cretinous defending, which is rare for us since Gus came in, but I'm not too worried. I'm still optimistic for the season
-
Have you been looking at my FB account ?
-
Yes and our strikers actually did what they're paid for, as did yours, and it's about fucking time. I don't know what it is about Stoke, but I find them very hard to like as a team. Even with Hughes in charge there's something quite irritating about them, so taking 3 points off them is always nice. Oh, and we're only 3 points off third place
-
Not on the alleged £50k p/w he's on.
-
I know it's very early, but I think you've pretty much seen what you're going to get out of Colback. He's an average (at best) squad player who rarely imposes himself on a game. I don't watch a lot of Newcastle games, but from what I have seen you have much better options in that position. The fact he got picked for England (how the fuck did that happen?) will do you absolutely no favours, as Pardew now thinks he's got a superstar on his hands. I actually think your team is strong enough to survive, even with Colback in the midfield, but it'll not be a pretty watch for much of the time (a bit like us actually).

Bit of a nothing start to the season if I'm honest. Just seem to be waiting for something to happen one way or another. It's Sunderland so I'm sure it will all turn to shite sooner or later
