I hope so. I do enjoy the bed sheets at your place. I've got to be honest and say I'm not looking forward to the next few weeks because I think Benitez is your best appointment since Robson by a long way. I'm just hoping that even he can't do anything with that shambles of a defence of yours. We'll see......it should be fun, in a horrible way.

Most of them appear to be a danger only to themselves, and usually only when handling sharp implements.

Right, that's it.....we can all move on now

You don't speak for everyone Many of us are hoping he stays.

As long as I can avoid them in real life I'm content.

I f*cking despair. Why do they feel the need to put 'my opinion' or 'everyone has a right to an opinion? Actually no you don't. Not if that opinion is based on supposition, innuendo, lies or simply from a position of complete ignorance. I can offer an opinion fundamental physics but it would be completely worthless.

Pearson at least has experience in dragging a team out of the relegation zone. I'm not sure Moyes or any of the other names mentioned could do it.
-
Quite a few sources saying he's gone. Gutted

I am. If you get someone like Pearson in I'd be worried. McClaren IN!

If you think that's the general consensus over there then that's a strange interpretation of what I've read on RTG. From what I can see the debate on there is pretty much the same as I've seen everywhere else, with many people asking the same questions as are being asked on here and every other website I've been on. Of course there's the odd idiot who'll try and defend the club, and sometimes quite shockingly Johnson, but most people seem to be massively disappointed in the club and it's responses.

I'm stunned that there hasn't either been another statement from the club, or a person or people haven't been sacked yet. The longer it drags on the worse it gets, surely they can see that? I thought the SAFC statement was bad enough but that one from the PFA is just waffle. I know it's not really a laughing matter but I do have a chuckle at some of the posters on here calling for a points deduction

Ok, first of all, who are they going to sack? Margaret Byrne? do you think she was the only one aware? don't you think she will have spoke to Short? he is her immediate boss and she i not the top of the tree, he can't sack himself? he IS the boss, he owns the whole shebang. with all previous lighthearted comments aside before any final judgement was made i find it absolutely f***ing disgusting that they knew what he had done after being privvy to the messages etc As for your comments about a quick fondle in the back of the car, you really need to give your head a shake, he has been found guilty of 3 out of 4 charges with a girl who had just turned 15yrs old ffs. he has gone out with the intention of getting as much sexual pleasure from a 15yr old child as he could Your whole club and the majority of your sick pathetic fans disgust me - you included You were doing alright up until the last sentence. Calm down ya daft bugger.

As a Sunderland fan that statement is a disgrace. What it leaves out is probably most damning. It was said in court by Johnson and a police officer, that the club knew of the grooming and the kissing. That statement from the club does not address this claim. If they knew, which seems probable, then that is nothing short of scandalous and whoever knew should be sacked. Shame on them and their pathetic jargon filled attempt to wriggle out of any blame. As for Johnson? He's blew his career and freedom for quick fondle in the back of his car and I don't have one iota of sympathy for him. Whatever sentence the judge passes down will be well deserved.

Surely not FFS the Smoggies still get grief over a child abuse scandal which happened almost 30 years ago

Considering she's from a wealthy background I don't think the last two options are likely. Again, why is a handout from a wealthy family an option ahead of her getting a decent job or whatever? Assuming that's what you meant of course, and if you didn't mean that then yeah that's the type of nonsense (noncesence) I'm on about with the way some people on here quite clearly hate women. She was working overseas for her father's company when she met Johnson. Misogynists on a football website? Surely not

We're talking about a case in a court of law, imagining things isn't relevant. That's why I'd rather wait until the trial has ended and then see what the club says. If it's true then there are serious questions to be answered.
-
The club needs to make a statement when the trial ends. If it turns out they did know, then someone should be sacked.
-
your disgusting club has seemingly acted disgracefully, im hoping you want them all sacked, shocking the boss knew and let it go for the sake of points We have the testimony of one man in court who is trying to save what is left of his reputation, the club haven't said anything yet.
-
Only if what Johnson is saying is true. We only have his word for it so far. We really need a statement from the club, and hopefully the PFA who were also involved in his suspension being lifted. We'll see what happens at the end of the trial.
-
If we stay up, and that's a massive if, we have no chance of Europe. I'd be happy with mid table.

It's actually an excellent site if you move away from the Pure Football threads, with some really knowledgeable, intelligent posters. PF is like an asylum mind.

The SMB forum should just have one Newcastle thread, like this place does with Sunderland. It does look like an out of control obsession when there are 8 or more threads on the Mags. And yes, I do see the irony of my post me being on a NUFC forum and all that
