Black & white is all I ask, no frills They can continue with red numbers also if they want, nice hark back.

Dreaming if you think NCC would extend leazes park like, Student accomodation up within the week the vultures
-
Jesus, you seen the cost of shit in the store for a start? As much as I've liked the new gear it's serious coin, bit too much imo.

I always call it the Eastern European stand. Has a very brutalist grim look about it, just makes me think eastern european architecture. Love the juxtaposition of it alongside the modern glass and steel stands though. Very nostalgic view of course, and wouldn't correct anyone who thinks it looks shit

I don't want a bowl stadium. I love the steep and distinctive look of our stands & stadium. St James' is a fantastic looking stadium if it could only have at least 3 symmetrical stands.
-
How about a bit sprucing up?
-
Insist on the sponsor adopting your colour scheme for a start, would make even this current shirt more palatable.
-
Is that him in the Jag in the background too? Weird obsession with the car.
-
I would be 50/50 on that personally. Certainly enough land there to create a pretty decent part of town that is currently a shithole really.
-
Does the metro not stop this idea?
-
I agree though, it's either just up from SJP current or out of the city centre. And I honestly don't want the latter.
-
Ask GIS if we can ground share with them and bring their facilities up to a decent standard? Nothing wrong with GIS stadium as it is like, but can't imagine it ticks many if any boxes for PL?
-
My personal opinion, for a new stadium I would only be happy with a move to castle leazes as per the prior plans. If we don't move or can't agree a site, sink the fortune to bring SJP up to a modern standard and try to figure out ways to eek as much capacity out of it. I love SJP and the way it has had to grow within its constraints, the way it sits atop of the city and commands views from miles around. For Newcastle as a city to lose SJP in its skyline would a pretty sad state of affairs for me.

Anyone else expect ASM to be more mouthy/full of himself in the press, only to find he seems pretty quiet? I know he's brimming with confidence and it shows on his social media channels, but you don't see him coming out bragging and bigging himself up above the club, if that makes sense? Sort of hoping he's quite content here and understands how big a player he is for us. Just showing some love for him even though he frustrates me

Quite a big thing to come out with that like,

Why does nobody cover our club? Why the fuck are you talking about our club in a bad light, the fukkin mags celebrated the Saudis man! Mackematics at play here. Seemingly only want classy fans/football fwends articles wrote about them. Anything else is mag territory.
-
Not that I'm aware of, but then they aren't in the same position as us. Man city have trailblazed and everyone is shit scared of the very same thing happening with a second club. Hence all these strange sponsorship caps appearing overnight, and likely more stringent rules going forward.
-
Bielsa doesn't fuck around with that English malarkey. Each to their own. But it's always an easy win to try and speak the native language at the club you're at, at least to try endear yourself to the club/fans and have a better understanding with team mates. Swear the English are the worst for this

That statement will be like an arrow through the collective sunlun hearts. Anyways, nice to see us functioning like a normal club and you know, having employees at board level.
-
TL:DR Just kidding, thank you very much for explaining it. Whilst I was there at the time I just can't remember the attitude to it all. I think the advent of social media has allowed more people to have a voice, and people's opinions on everything these days more prevalent.
-
Whilst I'm getting on, I'm not quite old enough to understand the sentiment among fans at the time around the inception of the PL. Was this same scenario not prevalent then, but just on a smaller scale? In place of billionaires we had millionaires changing the landscape? Be interesting to hear thoughts of those who were conscious of the changing landscape of the time and how it compares.

I thin Bruno will come in now. Howe has shown some big balls to persist with the current middle men and thankfully, it's paid dividends. But we have a small buffer now, and can probably allow a little leeway with the selection as it isn't MUST WIN (yes I know we aren't safe, but them two games have allowed a little respite) Think he would've got more minutes before now had we not put in such resolute performances against two good sides.
