I see it the other way around tbh, and I'm probably more on the unlikelihood of this happening side. Unless it has failed already (I honestly feel that would've leaked if so) then the long wait just translates to them wanting a deal to be done but with some assurances. Who knows? I certainly don't, I sometimes wonder if the PL even know what they're doing.

The journalists have shown they don't know what is happening including GC. Given the very clip of this saga, I'll probably believe him on this instance

This is it for me, no doubting the outcome (State ordered hit which wasn’t as clean as they’d hoped) but what led to this situation will never be made clear. Khashoggi certainly wasn’t a just a civilian, he had far too many dealings with the royal family and terrorist organisations to be whiter than white. As for her, no idea. She comes across fake and paid for by Qatar and she makes it easy for people to target her as such with interviews like this where she seems to know and care nothing about him, but fully versed in why the takeover shouldn’t happen. What makes me think is if SA needed him on Saudi soil/embassy then how do they make him. What would make him go there? Not many options, apart from the one he went for. Was that planned? Make him quickly fall in love. Wouldn’t be that much of a surprise twist in all this. But that said if she was involved I’m sure it would have been leaked to discredit her, I also think if there was the slightest evidence pointing to this, even though she didn’t, they have leaked that also. So all that leads me back to she’s just unfortunately met someone with a dodgy past which caught up with him and now she, just like NUFC is caught up in this political storm and her crusade for justice for him has turned in to something else driven by Qatar. No way all this is off her own back. Could she be upset that her husband was murdered in a gruesome fashion, and then cut up in pieces? Not it has to be Qatar, no doubt about it. She is nothing but a pawn. Bonkers. She's not his widow, she wasn't his wife. Thry knew each other as long as this takeover has gone on, so no surprise she has nothing to say about him and everything to say about nufc. I've remained open minded on her, he however was a terrorist sympathiser, who would have thought the US deserved 9/11 more than anyone you are trying to pick arguments with. Right, Khashoggi evil, Saudi Arabia good. Got it. Good, now fuck off you Qatari bot. Everyone critical of Saudi Arabia is of course a Qatari bot, as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has done no evil in it's history. The defense of Saudi Arabia is really bizarre, I hoped that some fans would be capable of being critical and/or reflected regarding this takeover and Saudi Arabia, but that has proven to be a hopelessly naive thought. Thank you very much

Just laugh at him, as he's a card who loves the attention Tbh I find him one of the highlights of this thread. Always crease when I see his totally off piste posts that go against the general mood.

Thanks Golfmag for some decent information and a nice positive (how I'll interpret it). Thanks Penn for promptly and succinctly putting a downer on it.

Exactly how it looks.

Does the bumbling nature of some of Saudis decisions unnerve anyone at all? Just seems a series of own goals when it's totally avoidable. Let's hope if the takeover goes through they install someone who knows what they're doing and don't micromanage the fuck out of it.

Anyone's false crowd noise all messed up on Pick?
-
People just need to chill and let it play out. The over analysis of every little detail honestly looks a tad crazy But to say people shouldn't have hope seems a bit shitty mind.

Definitely not a moral check been carried out that's for sure, or this was dead in the water the moment it was put forward. They've prioritised their IP and money seemingly, hardly a shock.

Who ever thought it was? We'll be around 0.02% of the active fan base, if that. We're just a bunch of nerdy warhammer virgins, remember? I prefer Royhammer personally.

Reminds me of Greg Davies doing Chris Eubank

I mean, that's surely bribery?!

If it has failed, but the consortium is currently working through the prems snags then so be it, letting people know wouldn't be the worst thing in the world would it? It has passed and they are deciding on best way/time to announce it. This would just be cruel tbh haha. The Prem is actually the sticking point and they are taking their sweet time for whatever reason face saving/legal wrangles/pure Ineptitude.
-
I can't for the life of me think of what is possibly holding up an announcement either way. I understand this has probably been one of the stickier takeovers the Prem has had to deal with but my god, how many weeks are we on now?! I'd almost wish a failed takeover announcement just so I can put a finger on where the whole process is, as irrational as that is. I'm just fed up with it.

There is probably an arguement he was 12 years ago tbh.

Is Thursday, the day we're told it's imminent and could happen as early as next week.
