Pretty drab affair at Dunston v Grimsby Borough, 0-0 with a strong straight red on 75 for the home team. Still looked the better team but lacked a bit of quality in the box. JJ O'Donnell looks like he's starting to get back to fitness mind

love it haha!

Based on how Bruno’s been playing the start of this season, do we think City would actually put in a bid? I’m not so sure!
-
I agree - so what do they do? How do they force a player who has a contract, and doesn't want to leave, to leave?
-
I'm so fed up of people saying this - if the player doesnt want to move, he won't go its really simple. He and his family love it up here, and his kids are settled in school etc and he has no intentions of leaving. For us to sell him, it would need to be an amazing offer, which, lets face it, isn't coming!

agreed, he's a right character like, i'm all for it, shows confidence and self belief, he's like the Lewis Hamilton of football

Here’s hoping then, she’s gutted at the moment, cheers lads

Alreet, anyone know what the club shop will do tomorrow about this, if anything? the Mrs and my bairn went in today to get her home top printed, got Gordon 10 on it. Put it in the bag and came home. Tonight they have got it out and the numbers are offset to the right and not centred at all - are the shop likely to do anything about it or just say tough you should have checked? They still have the receipt - cheers 👍🏻

I don't actually blame the club for not being able to sell all the dross. Its Ashley's rein that gave them all stupidly high wages on long term contracts, and all to the type of players who are happty to sit on their arses, get splinters and a pay cheque. I mean really, who would you buy if you were an aspiring champo club out of our 'bomb squad'? Now, of the names in your head, how many of them do you see accepting a pay cut to go and further their footballing career? Very few names left I suspect. We will be rid of them when their contracts all expire, until then I think were fucked.

I don't see how we can, I agree. They have manipulated the rules into a place where they have a massive advantage, and no-one trying to climb that can match the income/revenue that they have. And that means we can't ever compete. Be very interesting to see what Villa do next summer, will they be in a similar situation as us, or did selling the pair to Juve alleviate that to some extent.

neither are we with this current squad.

were an injury or two away from disaster IMO. And no Dummett to call on this season (can't beleive I just typed that!!) I'm all for the manager getting what he wants, but to not get it, and then not ensure we have sduitable cover is suicidal. We have 2 CB's with long term injurys, and 2 CBs that are older and slower. If Schar or Burn gets an Injury, were in real trouble, and this time it will 100% be the club's fault.

It’s a tough one really, he needs to play to learn and develop and gain experience, but he will make mistakes while doing this still. He’s 19, got a great touch and a ton of talent, we need to cut him some slack at times I think this season.

Something just not right with this lot - dunno what but we’re ahit and have been for months now.
