  1. Are the majority of those still blaming Eddie UK based or overseas? I'm really curious. I'm only curious because I know in a lot of overseas sport, there's a lot of result driven fans, that's all that seems to matter to them, the bigger picture doesn't seem to register. As Brummie put it, zoom out a bit.
  2. Thanks for bringing a sensible outside view to the party. ?? 19th in the league to 4th, a cup final after decades. Two losses to arguebly the two strongest Premier league sides in the last decade, we only lost five games last season three of them to the sides who have handed our losses this season. It's a total overreaction. "We only want a club that tries" What we got so far, was a club, owners, manager, flags, feel good factor, a chance to dream again, we got so much more, 10 birthdays and 10 Christmas rolled into one. For some absolute arseholes it's never, ever enough, Wake the fuck up! If you are the type out there who think it's now top four every season, then you are those fans who got Newcastle labeled the deluded geordies back in the 90s, yes I do believe eventually we will become a force if the owners deliver on all their promises, but, its not granted. These lads, Eddie, the board all knew, all admitted we over acheived, it's a luxury right now, we're very lucky, there's a long, long way to go, loads of work to put in, and it's progress, you could never ever right off Eddie Howe unless you're an absolute fucking moron.
  3. This is true, but he gets the most opportunities for himself and to create or play in others, and he continues to get them wrong. Work rate he's in the top three players, decisions he only knows to hold and wait for Trippier. He contributed to Isak not being involved for me yesterday, Trippier looks for Miggy, the midfielders look to get Miggy in behind, did Miggy look for Isak or create one opportunity for him yesterday, I don't think he did. We need to start finding our Striker and getting the balls in the box early. Just another opinion, but granted he performs each week, I just wish he'd use his striker more than going solo.
  4. I'm worried how fast people turn on the players/staff. I truly believe if we crash out of the Champions League early and are a few places off the top four, most people will forget everything we have achieved in a short space and be calling for Eddie's head. I'm with Shearer and some of the other pundits out there, I do think we'll struggle to get top four this season, I also think this isn't the season for us, (It's an opportunity to look into the future regarding UCL) I believe the following season after this one is where we'll see us challenge the top 4/5. Right now this season I wouldn't be at all disheartened if we ended up in the Europa League, I wouldn't be bothered if we didn't win a trophy either. I can see the progression and I think Eddie is the person to take us there, his obsession with fitness and levels has taken players playing at below 50% to another level, the only time you'll see this look like we're dropping is when you play sides that operate a similar standard, Man City and Liverpool have the same standards, and even more to bring from their benches, you only have to look at Gordon who clearly arrived unfit physically and probably mentally, then translate that to Everton who are a total mess right now, Eddie and his OCD on fitness, levels, being at the optimum is the recipe for success. I just prey the majority don't call for him based on this seasons success or failure. If you don't expect as much you won't feel like you've lost a great deal.
  5. These new wum sign ups need looking into, plenty in the last 18 months lurking around, and waiting for days like today to pounce. Can spot them a mile away.
  6. Three of our five losses last season came from the two sides we just played. The manner of it wasn't pleasant, but it's reality. Each season we will gradually get closer, right now we're not there yet. Eddie is the best manager we've had in a long long time, and apart from today, the football and our approach to games is hardworking and exciting most of the time.
  7. Isak wasn't used by his colleagues at all today hardly, even when we were doing well. The midfielders constantly look for the wide players, and the wide players particularly today, wanted to try and do it all themselves. I'd have been seriously fucked off if I was Isak today.
  8. No they love him, he's adorable, but in certain situations he makes horrible choices. Other than his solo run, where he's entitled to go for the finish, he didn't once look to assist, he's always thinking the same thing, cut inside, shoot with left, wait for Trippier overlap, for opposing managers he's very predictable.
  9. I kept saying to the other half we're not being ruthless enough, Liverpool are gaining confidence from the fact we're sat back knocking it around like we're prime Barcelona? Then obviously Liverpool start making attacking subs, indicating we need to go for this regardless, "did anyone see this coming" absolutely! They wanted to win this game, our sloppy passing, shite diagonal long passes, and relentless passing from left to right wore thin, Liverpool no longer looking like a side with 10 men, and if we're all totally honest they thoroughly deserved something, I was fuming at the draw, but the loss, well I just knew it was coming, our second half strategy literally handed it to them on a silver platter. One thing that stood out an absolute mile, was the lack of use of Isak, we played that game without him, everything attack wise went through either Miggy or Gordon, Isak was totally ignored, those two wide players Miggy in particular had a handful of chances, wasted numerous times. Absolutely pissed, but that was deserved, as my mum would say, served you right.
  10. Gordon has Trents number now, that early frustration from Trent has made it very difficult for him to now be able to challenge Gordon without precise timing. Liverpool seem to get more into the later part of the half, I was slightly frustrated with some of our sloppy passing and diagonal balls are way off, on the other hand I've been impressed by the hunting in threes, reminds me of Barcelona and City have mastered when going after the ball. Great entertainment, praying nothing else dramatic happens, and we see this out, more goals would be amazing, but so far it's enough.
  11. There's definitely no rivalry with Newcastle and Liverpool Liverpool and Man Utd absolutely, once upon a time Wenger and Ferguson created a new rivalry between Man Utd and Arsenal, all the the rest I consider local rivalries or derby's. As things stand I don't think we have a real rival or hatred toward a particular club. I did feel animosity toward Villa, only based on their antagonist approach with their unnecessary banners and poking fun during relegation.
  12. But this then makes me think they have a point, we have cooked up a fake rivalry. Why do we feel like we need it?
  13. In terms of social media Twitter audiences, he's not far off. Reality for those idiots is, we haven't beaten them for 8 years.
  14. Rugby officials are mic'd up, it's hardly going to be difficult for prem or all football refs to follow their standards. The only thing blocking it is the people doing it. Rather than your suggestion of giving the recordings, just have it live mic'd for live games, and those that are not televised could request match audio. On Mike Dean and those claiming they didn't like doing VAR because they didn't really understand it, there's a serious problem, perhaps we need software detection tools, where a ref wouldn't need to still come to a decision for offsides, drawing silly lines, instead more or less something that can detect it to the nearest pixel.
  15. Can't believe sports journalists in this day and age, why are they all so focused on a bit of drama on twitter, nearly everyone of them wanted to raise it.
  16. Yes I do that, or stick a leg out the sheets.
  17. Makes me wonder is this why they sold Tella.
  18. From the horses mouth Mike Dean. Refs and Var is corrupt, most of us already knew this. I think it's time for refs and Var to be mic'd up, we should hear the discussion.
  19. The problems started for Nufc360 when they moved their angle, originally regurgitation of transfers and rumours from papers and sources, it seems they started asking questions etc, I remember I stopped following them a good while back, they did like a twitter live thing, people chatting throwing opinions, but the guy hosting sounded like a total prick.
  20. Another really difficult game, their pace will be a challenge. I don't think we'll see big changes, Longstaff in for Joelinton that's about it, I'd expect Eddie to choose the same side with that one switch.
  21. Was Tonali, Joelinton, Longstaff any better ? Nope. Man City are at home, they're the best in the world and have been coached that way by the same manager for seven years, I'd be surprised if they lose once at home this season. The way City play affects how teams perform when they play them, this includes individual performance ie: Bruno or whoever, you just can't get your rhythm versus sides like this. Heightened expectations among our impatient fans is something they need to deal with. I've already said to my other half and friends etc, if Eddie struggles with the challenges this season brings with all the extra games, the same types who have these over expectations will start to convince others he's not good enough, probably saying, we need to look for a manager who knows the champions league bla bla. I've supported this club for long enough now to know this is worth waiting for, we need to cherish the moment and not worry about anything, it's going to take time, but it's going to be brilliant. This season is really a look into the future, because we are 2 or 3 years ahead of schedule.
