I think it's a good indicator that 80k queueing for a membership (plus previous seasons) is perhaps the start of looking at a capacity increase. I'm pretty sure over 100k were chasing the 1k season tickets when they were up for grabs. The demand is growing. Makes you wonder what capacity they could consider, or simply move?

Bored to fuck of Mbappe already, hope he destroys his career following cash over dreams.

The guide prices for players, such as McTominay etc, it's utter crap, a player is worth what someone is prepared to pay. I cant think of a single club prepared to pay 45m and then have to negotiate a wage with him. They'll equally struggle to move on Maguire, I'd see him loaned until his contract ends, their pure greed is the reason players like Phil Jones stunk the place out for years.

Mike Ashley had a decent project, it just went a bit wrong.

Poor fella, have they said if he just passed out, or was it cardiac.
-
It wouldn't surprise me if they paid him all that and one if his advisors still looked for a tax loophole. Not a fan of Mbappe, seems a slimeball

Noticed after the drinks break Howe got the chance to remind them how ridiculously high Villa try and play, and to also press them from the keeper, much reminded me of how we dealt with Brighton toward the end of last season. Although Anderson missed chances early on, he didn't give in, he's been really good with his high press. Turned into a much better end to a poor start. I'm off to bed now, ?

This isn't great, Jamaica seem like they haven't a clue, they knock it to the forward, then expect the forward to basically go on a Messi/Mbappe run and do it all, they sit 30 yards behind watching rather than supporting the forward. Neither side take much time, everything is rushed, it's like nerves are on display.

Villa have made a few good signings. I can see them improving on last season if the conference league doesn't hinder them.

It's a fucking terrible idea, even more so for next to bugger all, €25 I've read, I'd sooner keep him and take Barnes on loan with a fee agreed when the loan ends. I've not seen much to indicate clubs are exactly queuing up to sign Barnes, seems we're the main suitors or West Ham, wouldn't hurt to take him on loan first, unless Leicester are only interested in selling, they'll be quids in with the sale of Maddison and Barnes.

I'll be absolutely gutted if he is sold. Its such a pity, because we really need to emulate the City model having two top players in every position, but, unfortunately now, it's not possible, keeping ASM and aquireing Barnes would have been miles better, I'd even have fucked Miggy off and started playing ASM on the right, with Barnes on the left. I was the same when Andy Cole was sold, the same when Les went to Spurs, heartbreaking when Ginola was also sold, but Kenny decimated that team. You can see why anyone would be attached and fond of ASM he bought joy in a terrible period.

B...B....But we need to sell Maxi to meet our ffp, now we suddenly don't give a fuck about ffp, People make your minds up

Well see I guess, they can't hang around here much longer, they simply will not feature.

Don't be daft. Look at the state of Forest last season, they'd literally pay anything for anyone, and the mad thing is,it actually payed off, they achieved their goal. For a side to be mad enough to pay Lingard 200k then offload, i think anything can happen now until September.

Nope it doesn't always work like that, the deadwood type players will go further down the window and close to the deadline imo. As sides miss out on desired targets they look to others, Manquillo, Lascelles, Darlow, Lewis, Fraser, Hayden, Hendrick, These lot could easily be squad filters for promoted PL sides, or sides like Leicester, Southampton, or those looking for promotions. We managed to offload Shelvey and Chris Wood in a January window. I'd like to think Lascelles, Fraser, Darlow and Lewis could bring in 30m? Hell, Leicester could take Lascelles as part of a negotiation on Barnes? Lascelles could be great for them in the championship.
-
With accumulation of sales it could work out the same, plus deals can be done on larger contracts with payments spread. Amortisation type.

Yesterday I read the plaudits for Anderson getting a goal and assist. Maxi did the same and more, had Lewis,Anderson, and others finished their chances, he'd have had 3 if not four assists and his goal. But, nobody was bothered, just talk of lets sell our best players still, it's mental. If anything we should be looking to offload all the deadwood first, and as the stronger players move down the pecking order it strengthens your squad overall.

That frank does me all the time, I block him, then he's there again with a new account, most recently walked into the kitchen to speak to an Everton fan at work, I'm going on like an idiot, you know you lot might be taking Gordon back on loan!

He'll change his mind when he comes to play the friendlies at St James

I agree, I think it's social media, piss poor journalism, and influencers doing their bit.
