The Europeometer™ (2024/25) - NUFC Qualify for Champions League

Not sure I'm in agreement with Caulkin, yes he has a point, but the footballing people we have bought in behind the scenes, unlike George who's just a sport journalist, will have many ways to pull off deals. This club is being run smartly, I don't think the over achievement or possible premature CL qualification compares us to doing a Leicester? -
Fati is finished? He's become the new Bojan.

Allan Saint-Maximin (now playing for Fenerbahce, on loan from Al-Ahli)

If he's available, I'd love to see him on the right so we can play Wilson up top and Isak on the left. Might be decent combo. -
It's pretty obvious we have a player who is very versatile, he was involved in all the good chances that came from the left when Wilson came on. Wilson and him on the field definitely works, it's not like it's worse, it's actually better. But I'm sure Isak likes getting in with the goals, maybe Eddie will work on these patterns so he can play left and get in with the goals if Joe Willock or Joelinton interchange with him like so many of them are doing for each other during matches.

If Arteta has a brain, he'll know the title is going to City, and it makes massive sense to have Liverpool playing on Thursday nights next season. He should put out a weakened side. Not that I'm worried, but it makes sense. -
Thought the only thing stopping him scoring today was himself. He let the pressure of getting that first goal take it away from him. A full preseason next season, and team bonding, Eddie will have him solved.

Arsenal next, bring it on. -
I feel now we're behind, it's time for Isak and Wilson, Isak maybe to take up that left role, and Gordon to be replaced. I'd also go Almiron for Murphy as Almiron is more direct, Southampton will shit themselves with Almiron and Isak running at them.

That Enciso kid for Brighton looks mint.

I was thinking with the way this is going, would it be mental, or too soon to think the owners Howe and everyone behind the scenes might try and challenge for the title next season? I'm only thinking this, because if I'm honest and like many others, we were settling for 7th after staying in the league last season, nobody really predicted it would be made to look as simple as its turning out, not getting ahead here, as I don't want the wheels to suddenly fall off like Arsenal, and injuries to key players could put a dent in things, but.... with big investment in the summer, because of CL qualification, I mean we'll have to now, does that then put us in the title race next season? Will this thread become The TitleRaceometer -
Yeah, another good point. It's a big team effort.
-
Very honest from Dyche, and it's not like he's ignored the fact, most other teams fans, they like to pretend its all about the investment. Murphy, Almiron, Longstaff, Schar,Joelinton, Willock, these players have stepped up massively, Almiron Joelinton and Willock are different players, the latter, literally on the crust of international call ups now. It was never just about saudi investment, the coaching has been phenomenal, and the investment has been shrewd.

Isak to score 6 -
His acceleration is ridiculous, he just puts the burners on and glides past people with close control and precision.
-
Such a brilliant result, some outstanding individual displays, nobody really put a foot wrong, yes it was a little sloppy in the first half, but Everton had us playing a certain way, but as they tired and we kept with it, we just embarrassed them. It helps now that we have really strong options from the bench. So good in the end
-
All the new signings since the takeover have been sensational. The thing they've added to the other players, is that they've made them better by making previous players hungrier, Isak is incredible, if he could play like that on the left, then there's no reason Callum Wilson doesn't play with him. He was lethal out wide and cuts in with ease.

Champions League, how fucking good is Eddie Howe, seriously! He joined a side almost relegated, he's taken us to cup final and lost the least amount of games. He's a top man.
