Newcastle United 3-0 Fulham (16/12/23) | Reaction: pg 33 | Goal-posts: OP

Seems the crowd are up for this, nice and noisy. -
His favoured position is midfield, Chelsea used him at fullback as he can operate multiple positions, thus was a big choice in taking him, and being able to operate in various roles. As a few have pointed out, he could have come on during this injury crisis and filled multiple roles, at LB he'll now go behind both Livra and Burn, in midfield he hasn't come here and got on ahead of Miley, Ritchie has featured ahead of him at times. Just feel the deal isn't as cut and dry as originally made out, you just sense maybe things have changed.

Pretty frightening prospect, they've just put 10 goals past their previous two opponents, and conceded zero. Very tough time to face Fulham. Palhinha is also absolutely class, such a brilliant player. I hope we can start to get our big players fit and back soon, and start to build. Great to hear Botman, and possibly Barnes are close, we got Burn, and Longstaff on the field midweek, also Wilson, really hope we get our season back on track starting here would be massive. -
@admin Is there an overreactions thread, if not, can we have one?

Unreal. It's definitely not good enough. The most clean sheets this season belong to Sam Johnstone, I'm not saying this is the answer, but short term it could work, likely Palace wouldn't sell regardless. Realistically, GK is probably the most impossible position to sign in January, I mean who's going to sell you a good goalkeeper at this stage if it weakens themselves. -
Felt like Eddie was alluding to the fact he couldn't utilise the team in this competition that he imagined, judging from what he said, you'd obviously count Tonali, and Barnes here, then the added injuries we accumulated along the way. These extra competitions completely emphasise why you need lots of depth through the squad, all the major sides that make it far in this competition have this. It's tough on Eddie, he shouldn't really be judged on this outing, it was technically an experimental phase, he will be judged on it though, but to be handed the most challenging group, be robbed of a result, and manage a totally patched up side, competing in all competitions, he couldn't have done more.

I know we're not playing the blame game on anyone, but Wilson was a bit non-existent, you'd have thought Gordon could have got a bit more out, and a straight swap with Wilson and Isak was possibly a better shout in hindsight. Done me in this, I've enjoyed these nights, we might not have them back now for a few seasons.

Was going so well. Unfortunately we lacked what's needed to finish sides off, they had a much, much better game plan second half, our subs seemed poor, the lads that started seemed hungrier, Gordon was running things on the left, when Isak came on nothing happened. I understand the subs probably needed making, but the same energy wasn't there at all from the players that came on.

They're just hitting us on the counter now.
-
Schar went off thinking he was a striker.
-
Wank
-
Feels like the edge we had is depleting.
-
Waste of a free kick
-
That's pathetic
-
I'm all for Isak and Wilson, but what have they instructed Isak to do here? Out on the left doing fuck all
-
Lascelles has been poor this half.
-
We've gone off the rails a bit.
-
Weak as fuck that defending.
-
Get this ref in the prem
-
Go on Maxi lad
-
They're all such creeps these days. They shat on us when times were tough.

I tell you there's been some good showings, but Livra has been superb, again!
