Literally no idea why teams celebrate taking points off a title-challenging team to fuck it up for them like they've won the league themselves. Chelsea last season, West Ham this season. I mean you're celebrating like crazy when you've have a shit season yourself and you're sitting in 9th. The team you have just beaten has Champions League football next season and you've massively underperformed. A bit of goading etc. is fine, but the scenes last night were like West Ham had just won the World Cup again.

Tottenham's side against Arsenal at the weekend cost them £108.97m (according to transfermarkt) in transfer fees (starting 11, not including subs). People claiming we need to spend £100m to just be competitive in that league are just talking pap, as for £1bn

Aston Villa went down in a similar mess and were taken over (which wont happen for the mackems), employed a fairly competent manager (which wont happen for the mackems), spent a large amount of money (which wont happen for the mackems) and only just managed to achieve a midtable finish. Didn't realise Kodjia broke his ankle in Villa's game against Blackburn, he's out until the new season now. A massive boost for Brighton considering he's been Villa's main (and only) attacking threat all season.

It's not the amounts that people are picking at, its the players that have come in. Even the free transfers he bought in were short sighted and totally the wrong players. Moyes quite obviously had some sort of influence in the deals as he had managed a lot of them before. N'Dong may be an exception to that rule.

He also spent £8m on Djlibodji like. He wasted the very small amount of money he was given and it's unsurprising that they were not willing to let him waste even more in January.
